Glad that you are OK, damn!

I'm fawking tore up over, literally an odd swelling in my throat that, I think, may be a associated with bawling like a baby.

Less than a week ago, uttered the words "when/if she rolls, will chop then..." Never thought the day would come that soon, or under the circumstances it occurred.

Have been quietly discussing a suspension redux, but fawk if it ain't too late.

Complete suspension is now for sale....

Superflex Radius Arms
(5) Flexy coils
Radflo's custom built for coil travel
Slee pan hards
MAF 4+ drag link
High Angle double/double cardan front driveshaft.
Landtank upper and lower rear links

Asking $4k.....

Half down, balance upon shipping.
Asking for ten days to pull.

Will need to C&T. My advice is to correct the roll center by raising panhards and draglink, too.

Sonofabitch.........I'm glad you are OK.

Glad you didn't get hurt.

Glad you didn't get hurt. Sad your truck rolled.

Yuck. Been there, can't stand the feeling.

I won't bug you about your plans till you had some time to grieve:(

x2, what went down?

Glad you are ok. Looks like it was a good little tumble.

I can't imagine the emotional pain! Seriously I'd be sick and I haven't done half of the work you have!

4 k for the suspension only?

I had to quickly correct and the momentum from the body roll broke the rear end loose.

Never regaining traction, as the momentum turned into a pendulum, I pointed to the shoulder.

Once I hit the grass, the rear tire dug in and the body jolted. Since this happened on steep embankment, there was no stopping the roll.

Imagine at 45-50 MPH, the PS rear tire, that had no traction, grabbing the grass at that angle, while the PS corner coil/suspension was loading up from the body sway.

How many times have I said that my goal in redoing the suspension was for more predictable handling?

I know I've said countless times I wouldn't allow anyone else to drive, as I knew this was a possibility, in the event of an evasive maneuver.

Had the embankment not been as steep, I'd have merely started a thread on cleaning s*** stains off leather, so location was a huge factor.

Had it been a lesser/different lifted 80, the same results may not have occurred, be it losing traction in the first place, or the body pitching as it did, I don't know.

Blame lies squarely on me, since I knew that it wasn't right, but guess I was arrogant in believing that I was familiar enough with handling to be able to expect and counteract the effects of unpredictable.

I never would've thought that the body would pitch that violently from such a minor corrective measure, to the point it'd break the tires loose, which was the catalyst.

When the ass end started rocking, in unison with very minor steering corrections, it was over, and I have logged a lot of miles in my life, avoided carnage many times.

Driver behind, that stopped, said it looked like the rear tires were leaving the pavement as it rocked back and forth, which is what it felt like.

One of the cops eluded to the evidence not pointing to a degree of evasive maneuvering that would be followed be loss of control, assuming based on the minimal arcs and distance between whatever skid marks were left.

@sleeoffroad,

You called it.

I won't bug you about your plans till you had some time to grieve:(

I don't know, but grieving will extend long past the time the plans are formulated and underway, since I can say this one I truly loved and I don't know if there'll ever be a replacement for.

Spent a long time searching for, long time researching all aspects before then, and years working on.

Besides the DA front fender and hood, the body is trashed and wouldn't consider it for a viable build base, evidenced by the fact no door, save the drivers, will open....and it won't close.

She took a beating.

Quite frankly, I don't know what to do.

I'm not going to add insult to injury since you know this already, but for others - this is a good reason not to drive a rig with lifted suspension that suffers from bad geometry - body leans, oversteer one way, driver steers the other way, body leans the other way, oversteer the other way, and the whole thing is a positive feedback loop that can be, in some cases, basically impossible to correct.

All lifted 80s on stock geometry (I'm not talking about caster) have bad roll steer that can be, plainly said, dangerous.

Very sorry it ended this way for you. I'm depressed for you.

Dam good thing you walked away ok. Any idea how many times it rolled?

Was in the discussion and acquisition phases of correction....

One thing I can guarantee, regardless the form this phoenix rises from the ashes, it will be 100% roadworthy at all speeds and handle like a train on the tracks.

It is doable, with the right experience, that I do not have.

Landed on the drivers side and slid is what the cops said.

I don't understand how some of the damage occurred, if that's the case.
