Ward - Do you have any details on the center console? Is that a part of the package if you are going with the full monte?
Yessir. It was one of the many things discussed with Rodney and crew at WAT. The plan is to source all new components to fit into a new construction console. The example below is from one of Rodney's auto-swapped 79 Series. The console is custom made with matching, padded vinyl, cup holders, etc. This image has been manipulated to turn it into a LHD version with the gear indicator and manual shift gate (up/down) on the left side of lever.

The HGM transmission controller panel is the shiny thingamajig in front of the left cup holder, next to the power ports.

This is not a new idea in Australia - it IS a new idea when applied to 1FZ...... :)

Somebody had to ask...

Some people here have various skid plates to protect the transmission and or transfer case.

Does anyone know if the drain holes line up with the A343 transmission? Need to drill larger holes, need a new skid plate?

Does anyone know or know who would know what it would take to use A750F/A760F from a non 100 series donor like a Tundra or GX460?

In other words, is the rear mounting and output shaft different?

That’s a big deal for donor availablity, like 50 or 100 times as many in A750F/A760Fs in non 100 series applications in the US. (Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, GX470, GX460)

@wardharris and @orangefj45 are you guys planning on offering the kit with the Nomad valve body already installed in a trans?

They are longer in the truck application vs Land Cruiser

You can find that info here, or search online for the differences between the two.

5 speed auto

I just reread through all 18 pages and 344 posts. :bang:

There are some hints that they are different, but no specifics at all (diameter, spline length and count, tail housing bolt pattern) or pictures like there were to show bellhousing differences.

I would be interested. Please update when possible.

Interesting read. I’m in the process of getting a 4bd2T setup in my ‘93. Wonder how feasible it is to make an A442 CompuShift work with an A750.

Since we are talking about A750 (mainly), how feasible would it be to have the FJC part time transfer case swapped in as well along with this transmission?

Man, these are exciting times...A great new option to consider, just when a lot of our trucks' transmissions are coming due for a refresh. Seems like a perfect pairing for a turbo, as well. :hillbilly:

Besides the extra gearing and less energy loss, I assume the A750 is just as reliable as our trusty A343 (or moreso)?
