While I don't own an 80 I saw this being put up for auction. Might be worth trying to find out who's it was to get em on the registry!

Bone stock, no front/rear lockers. However, I just added the CDL switch (it is working after switching into and out of low gears about 150+ times in a parking lot, thanks mud!), put on Bf Goodrich AT tires and took it out and terminated its 23 years of mall cruiser life. Earned a few paint scratches here and there, but it is okay!

Thanks mud! I am new to Land Cruiser, but I learned so much going through the threads. Great information here!

Plans to do some mods in the future gradually, thinking about ARB bumper front/rear and side steps. Maybe a sub fuel tank. Probably add winch before I add lockers.

Very nice rust free California one owner rig.
Paint is very sand blasted and tired (but so cool)

Our goal is a sympathetic restoration by finding OEM parts and improving the very nice interior and mechanical side. We plan to let the natural patina age gracefully.

Entirely Raptor-linered by the owner before the guy I bought it from. No details aside from color, but it's a really solid job. Included black on the wheels, grill, and small things like the mouldings. I did the CDL/pin 7 last weekend and added a hitch for the bike rack. Planning on a roof rack and front bumper, but not a whole lot else.
Daily driver - I bike to work so daily driving is generally sub-7k/year - and once or twice a year road trips.

Hey Mudders,

First post here, but I've been watching this forum for a while. I'd been shopping for an 80 for a couple of years and finally found the one for me last month. I've got like 5 different tabs of this forum open on my phone, so much information to absorb. For now though, I'm just checking in.

1. 1993 FZJ80, unlocked and mostly stock.
2. Kit W.
3. Haven't decided yet. Been calling it "Cruiser" "Easy80" "The Great Pyrenees" "Polar Bear" "Family Truckster" but nothing's stuck yet. I'll update when it happens.
4. 180,000 miles.
5. ARB front bumper with Warn winch. OME Heavys. 285 MTs (I hate these tires). Aux lights with absolutely no wiring or switch installed.:hmm:
6. Daily driver, with weekend trips to the mountains every month or so. Family vacations. Weekend project. Dream car. Money pit.
7. Photos. That's kind of my thing, taking pictures of my car in scenic places. I haven't left the city with my good camera yet, so these are just my first few phone shots. Look for more from me on this topic.

Those 863 springs are a bit much. I'm hoping to level it out with a bunch of crap bolted to the back. Shopping for bumpers.

Took it to K&H Imports for a new Crank/Oil Pump seal and it came back clean enough to eat off of.

62, 837 original miles
Pics are from when I just brought it home a week ago and before spending 90 minutes just to scrub all the wheels clean. Yesterday I took the running boards off, so much better now!
This is my new DD, I will do some more mods but it is such a low mileage rig, I'm taking my time to decide.
I bought this at an estate sale from the family of the original owner, at the house it had been at since brand new. It was bought locally and I have all the paperwork. It's been garage kept since new. It was only driven 10, 000 miles in the last 10 years. I absoutely love driving this truck!

1. 1997 FZJ80 (triple locked)
2. RJ in the wonderful metro area of MN
3. My wife named it the "Land Crusher" after her first drive
4. 223K
5. OME 2.5 med lift, 285 Nitto tires, rebuilt front end, some FANCY vented disk brake kit, all done by previous owner. I'm doing the baseline now.
6. Hobby building, family off-roading, camping, boat towing. Got rid of my motorcycles and got the FZJ80 instead - almost got the "squish" on the motorcycle last summer. With 4 young kids I realized it was time to give 2 wheels a break.

Looking forward to gaining more experience with it on the trails.
