Since you are in Canada and see a lot of rust I think going with cut backing plates would be nice in helping to rinse off any salt front the backside of the rotors when washing the rig. In deep mud and ruts I guess the backing plates can help deflect goo away from the rotors to some extent though. I am pretty sure the studs are the same front and rear. I have never ever heard of anyone having an issue with the toyota studs.also needing some axle housing studs for the differentials. any recommendations on whether i should use toyota ones or ARP? i have to figure how many of each length i need too. i didnt think about the different lengths until i was at toyota inquiring about them.
i also read somewhere that the rear ones were a 12mm diameter while the front are 10mm. is this true? seems as though if you can swap diffs front to back they'd be the same stud?
