So far so good. Great breakfast, safety precautions are in place. Decided the passenger side front was as good a place to start as any.
1.Started by loosening the (all) fasteners. Spring perch, shackles and u-bolts.
2. Floor jack set under the front Diff.
3. Off with the tires.
4. Jack stands under axle
5. Remove U-bolts w/air gun
6. Brace axle with jack stand, remove floor jack.
Now this is where I get to insert a PO good news story. Liberal amount of Nevver-Seez aided in the removal of all the hardware....Shout out to the man from Idaho!!
6. Place floor jack under leaf pack.
7. Remove front shackle.
8. Lower jack w/ leaf pack.
9. Couple gentle taps on the spring perch. Leaf pack exits without much ado..
Last pic is of the drivers spring pack as it was lowered. Same scenario as passenger side (for reference), just a different side. I hate stopping for pics when you are on a roll...
