I finished the reverse light. I ordered some of the 4mm neoprene foam to make the gasket. I used the lens to make the outline then measured about 1/4" inside of that to cut out. I used my leather hole punch for the screws.

I visited my truck yesterday and it had floors!

The body guy asked about the spot welds along the rear quarters and top of wheel well. What was the spacing of the factory spot welds? Looks like about 2" from the picture I found, thank you @Coolerman.

Air box and booster painting complete. This is a mini truck booster. Has anyone found a source for the gaskets on the spacer and firewall 44785-35010, 90mm x 120mm with M8 holes in the corners and large hole in the center.

Does anyone know what this part looks like? It is NLA.

75399-60010 in diagram for the hood spear attachment. It is called a retainer.

Found it, looks like a rubber washer, this is probably OEM, I found two examples.

The only two cruisers I have with the chrome spear installed are at another location. I do have a couple loose chrome spears here that are off a couple non runners. Those have a dried out rubber square that match the size the strip the studs are on. The rubber pads seem to be thick enough to prevent damage to the paint on the hood.

Worked on the brake master and clutch master cylinders, cleaned up and painted. I redid the copper plating on the bushings and retaining bolt. The combination proportioning valve I rebuilt a few years ago is toast. Why no gasket for the clutch master to firewall?

I also sold my F250 after it threw a spark plug out in the road. I picked this up to drive for now.

is your sparky new GSJ15 sporting the RA61F or the A750F ...?
below is a solid same as-it gets in-kind example of yours and how it looked during it's final 2023 model year , on the dealership lot in the UAE ..
i am not exactly sure what the whole story behind them having them New on the Lot still , and the fact it and all the others say EXPORT ONLY ...?
i zero's in on the facts that the keys are still in there Humira Plant little pink baggie , the round paper medallion hanging on the Cyclometer is a new car Saudi-Spec. thingy , and the hood has the typical plastic shrink-wrap stuff on it ...🤔

below that Russ is the how your little guy was born into the world , and finally found a loving forever-home ...

My truck has the 6 speed manual. It was a US market truck that was sold to Japan and spent its life there. I am not sure yet what it is, but something talks to me in Japanese when I turn on the key. It had a Japan market radio that I have swapped out. The little side reflectors on the front fenders are different and some bit of technology on the side mirrors, maybe cameras?

Cool video, thanks.

Does anyone know what these parts are made of or what they look like in real life? 64925 and 64926 spacers in the diagram. Why only listed for up to 7207?

PNs listed on EPC:

64925:
64925-60020
(I have seen this PN listed along with 64925-60010 on the barn door diagram as a sub)

64926:
64924-90030
64924-60010
and maybe 64961-60010

Never came across any hinge spacer on the back of an FJ40 a 1/4" thick. The one for the hinge on the sill changed part number but the one for the latch was gone. Tailgate, hinges latches didn't change on 7/72. If the pad for the latch was 1/4" and gone 9/72 would throw everything off.

Find interesting you get a listing for a right and left hinge but center is not listed at all. The hinges are identical. They show the old style license plate bracket on the left side and the two fixed nuts for the bottom of the bracket on the right side. Oops.

My 1/73 was last registered in 1988. I've had since 1994. Tailgate was replaced before that. Has the common dent from an over adjusted spare tire pad. Not seeing anything on the sill for the hinges. I've pulled three tailgate off wrecked FJ40 and do not remember any pads. A 1962, 1971 and another not sure the year. But it has six footman loops so earlier than 72. Last sold the hardware to a friend the tailgate was bent. Other still have all the hardware. Had four FJ25 FSTs. Do not remember any spacers on any of them still have one of those left.

No sign of any pads
