Thank you for compiling these lists.

I am curious, though, where the "249" number comes from as respects total U.S sales in 1961? How many of those 249 sold in 1961 might have actually been leftover 1959 or 1960 FJ25s?

I am not doubting the number. I just wonder where it comes from? And given the prevalence of titling in the year of sale as opposed to titling in accordance with the year of manufacture, do we really know how many 1961 FJ40s were imported into the U.S.?

foxfab quote from that thread for the lazy lol...

I've actually thought of leasing mine to a dealership.... bet they'd pay well for one. Although they'd probably want to put a bezel on it to match the FJ Cruiser

Rudi -

I believe that is only for FJ-40s. I believe it originally came from a SOR website.

This thread should be a sticky (and both charts should move up to the top, below the registry summary)

1969 FJ40 VIN=66444 Date of Manufacture=Feb/1969
Engine F 277877 (original)
I think original owner was from AZ. Painted blue all over by PO. Original color was light blue (I think Capri).
My dad bought in 1974 in Mississippi. Moved in with me (AL) November 2013. The only mods I know of are 16x6 rims.

July 1969 build date, originally in capri blue. 87k original miles. VIN FJ4071144.

Build thread is "Introducing Oliver".

Early K5 blazer SBC swap backed by a th400. Original transfer case. I'm currently swapping in FJ60 axles and doing a SOA. Will also be cutting the rear tub for clearance (if someone has a tub with ruffstuff fenders and wants to swap for a phenomenally clean tub, hit me up).

Build Date Feb 1982 Post 60
VIN JT3FJ40C6C3353231
I think I am third owner purchased in 1987. Was red now Beige.
A/C was added, non factory, at some point before me.
Engine number next time I look under the hood.
She's a redo.
