So looking at all the videos and early reviews looks like a 32.6" tire from the factory the Tacoma comes with a 33" and has the same front geo. So will the LC take a 35" with only trimming. Let the speculations begin.

no 😆

its official

People are fitting 35’s on Tundra and Sequoia pretty easily, they’re on the same GA-F platform. In theory, a small lift (2-2.5”) and moving some finder liners should be all you need. It will be interesting to find out if you would need to regear with the 2.4 hybrid, people are finding they don’t need to with the 3.4 Hybrid.

This makes sense. Same frame. Should work. 33s basically stock makes it seem like an easy fit. Toyota in Japan showed rendering of it on much bigger tires so seems like they know what people will want to do.

I think that is definitely the big question. Somebody’s gonna need to make an aftermarket mount for the interior in the back or of course the swingout will be made I’m sure.

My guess is no. A 35” tire is typically 12.5” wide, that would seriously impact clearances. You’ll prob need a replacement bumper with a swing out if you want to run a full sized spare.

12.5” wide is common but there are narrower flavors, 285/75/18, 295/70/18, 35x11.50/17 and 35x10.50/17 off the top of my head.

There are reports that 17" wheel might not fit due to bigger brakes.

This is a screen grab from ToyotaJeff’s (link below) reveal video. There appears to be plenty of space between the caliper and wheel on the stock 18’s. We won’t know for certain until Toyota or a buyer fits 17 inch wheels though. I’m really hoping we get some kind of announcement from Toyota soon. Like I said previously, these are all GA-F platform vehicles.

That looks like the rear caliper to me.

oh for sure, I was just saying what is typical. Regardless of the width, fitting a 35" diameter tire under the truck is asking a lot.
What’s the largest size spare people have gotten under the tundra and sequoia?
