Especially with a supercharger. I can't believe it. That combo usually nets 10-11 mpg

I'll snap a photo of my scangauge - on my way home from the San Diego Cruisers swap meet I averaged 14.9 from Ramona CA to Leucadia CA.

You'll have that beauty back on 285s and for sale NLT August 2013. Mark my words.

I was thinking about the MTRs in a 315.

Now thinking about these in this size.

How is the power in 4LO with these?

These will just be a set of trail tires if i go with them while running 285 BFGs on road so i am not too concerned with the HWY manners with these on stock gears. If i have to run with OD off on stock gears to run these on the HWY that is fine with me, as there won't be a lot of those miles a year.

Waiting on some flex pics to see how bad the rubbing is :)

With the lift I have, they rub in the rear pretty good. I ordered some 4" MAF bump extensions yesterday, will see how that works.

That said, I rubbed it as hard as I could and drove it out of the rub for 3-4 revolutions of the tire and they did not hurt anything.

In south Louisiana you will be fine with the stock gears. 100%

Thanks for the pics wngrog
I just noticed you were over in Miss. A fellow SEC brother!

I just checked the price on these and it is almost the same as the 315 MTRs :)

I have heard in the past that running this wide of a tire on an 8" rim is "not recommended". Even a 12.5" isn't "recommended" on an 8".
What are the reasons for this?

I have heard it is easier to blow a bead, AND i have heard it is harder to blow a bead, haha.
I have also heard that it causes the tire to sort of make a rounded shape across the tread causing uneven tread wear.

Any of these true or anything else?

what pressure did you run when you were wheeling? everything handle well traction wise?

I just got these on today.

My setup:

1997 Collectors Edition

OME Heavy Front with Metal Tech 2" spacers

OME Medium Rear with 30 mm urethane spacers

OME caster correction

Standard OME shocks

Do you have 2 1997 CE's?!?!?!?!? If so, that is awesome. Brother and sister.

I still have the sway bars all hooked up. They limit my flex, not my shocks. I may get some front "L" shocks and unhook the sway bar on wheeling trips but the rear shocks outflex the suspension without being "L" models. I can almost keep them hooked up to change out the rear spring.
