I fueled the Cruiser for the 735th time a couple days ago.

14,699.1 gallons, $30,414.03 expended.

The frst time I fueled it I paid $1.239 a gallon.......:crybaby:

Wow, you've been writing it all down?? I couldn't, too depressing. So ~45-50K for the initial purchase, $30,414.03 for fuel, then add repairs, service, mods, etc. = Total cost of ownership. Divide all that by 20 years comes out to how much per year?

WOW - you have an OCD problem for sure

roughly calculated: 1993 - 2013 = 20 years at $1500 each - how many hours of fun ? priceless :steer:

WoW! You must drive like an old man?,,,,wait.....nevermind:D

just think how much money you could save by buying a brand new Prius!

My guess is not much once you figure in the cost of Lockers and 35's on a Prius

it's a joke, son.

he spent as much on fuel in the last 20 years as the sticker price of a higher end package prius. plus he didn't have to drive a prius.

I'm guessing that $30,414 in fuel is getting close to what you paid for the truck new.

My 1992 has the original window sticker in the glove box and it is $32,700 after options. Yours probably stickered for more being a 1993 but surely Mr. T cut you (an honored employee) a deal back in 93....

$30,414 in twenty years. That's only $4.17 per day. I'm sure you spent more money on beer, even for Keystone Light!!  :flipoff2:

15,000 gallons for 7,500 hours is 2 gallons/hour - if you got 12 miles to the gallon, you drove 24 miles per hour . . . :hillbilly:

Dan, $5 Grand a year for insurance would have to be for all your vehicles with a teenage driver I am guessing. I pay $2400 a year for two 100 series, a RX350 and a BMW Z4 full coverage. You need a new insurance agent

Phil - "Son" he he haw haw (Belly laugh)

I assume he averaged the insurance over the 20 years, too

That was 5 grand a year total expense, including insurance.
