Edit: I have updated the first post to include the consolidated info contained later in the thread. See below.

I realize there are a couple different versions of the 2F valve cover. Specifically, the "tall" version for '75 - '80 trucks. And the "short" version with the stamped Toyota and 2F logo for '81 to '87 trucks.

My question is, did Toyota ever offer the "tall" version of the valve cover with a threaded oil fill cap? Or were all threaded oil fill caps on the short version?

Thanks!

Here are the various covers I know of. Feel free to ID and add to the list.

Early style (1975 - 1979) "Tall" 2F valve cover with push-on oil cap. No "2F" branding machined into cover (just a sticker in the photo).

I don’t think all shiny is factory correct.

Dang PO didn't take care of the VC.....so, it needed a little help.

I figured my rebuilt 2F needed a refurbished VC?

If I have the valve cover you are looking for, I can also offer you a set of period correct domed acorn nuts and grommets to go with it. I have a box of them, but only sell them with valve covers now.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for!

I didn’t realize they made the Tall valve cover with the “2F” and “Toyota” logo embossing. Plus the threaded oil fill cap!

I don't believe they do. My tall valve cover does have the "2F" embossed but no "Toyota" embossing.
