I'm anxious to see the US spec vehicle! Any ideas whether the Land Cruiser will get a leather covered upper dash like the new LX will be getting?

Forgive me but I am slightly confused... Is this a full redesign or a facelift ?

I'm curious if academically speaking the following could be applied to the 200 series,

'08-'11 = 200
'13-'15 = 201
'16-'1? = 202,

or if because the guts remain essentially unchanged and it's just aesthetic revisions/re-packaging that such a differentiation would really be a misnomer?

(Sorry, just pondering such things while idling in a parking lot because my kid fell asleep in his car seat during the 2 min ride to grocery store and leaving him in a 1,000 degree vehicle is frowned upon.)

The 202 exists, (Australia/China/GCC/GEN)

Not 100% sure on what the difference is but when I was buying my diff locker from an Australian company in 2012 they wanted me to clarify if mine was a 200 or 202 will try to search the emails and see if they listed what the actual difference was.
*edit* they actually had "200" listed as well as "215 global" and there were two options to choose from for the diff locker lsd or open diffs.

Lux'd out
Nice screens for the back seat riders.
Great photos
Thanks

Wonder what market these are for?

Like the mocha seats, but don't love them.

Curious on pricing increase, too. In the US, the LX and LC are pretty high as it is.

Obviously the Arab Market.

Seats are red not mocha. One of a few color options for the LX in the Arab market.

I like it

More like what is called "ox blood" a dark shade red not to my taste but a lot of people like it... Haha anyone notice the speedo on the lx, also the gear shift knob isn't screwed in all the way dealers usually remove them when in storage

i wonder if the LX now gets electronic power steering?

I'll take a 2008 200 series outside with the new LX570 interior;)))

I actually spent some time with the Toyota US market lead for the Land Cruiser this afternoon here in SLC planning some upcoming fun. We wandered around a handful of non-US Cruisers including a variety of old and late model 7x's and even a MegaCruiser. Interestingly enough he was very familiar with the various non-US platforms and knows very well the Land Cruiser community would jump at the opportunity to purchase one. We talked a bit about the new 200 trim overhaul and am looking forward to seeing it in person soon!

In the LX photo, I just noticed the absence of a simple lever hand brake..... I am NOT a fan AT ALL of these new stupid ass electronic E -brakes.
Have it in my newer land rover. Stupidest thing ever. Sometimes they lock up on people while driving (rare but I know of one person and that is one too many) or they don't unlock, they require power to function, etc.

Worst thing is that you can't use it in an EMERGENCY which is the most ironic considering I grew up knowing of it as the "EMERGENCY" BRAKE! WTF WTF WTF ? It's just a dumb parking brake now.

ooh, interesting design theme just noticed on the LC. A 1995 LC 80 front end/grill/headlamp area actually inspires the supposed new LC 2016 grill with horizontal extension into the headlamps. I realize on the 80 it has the grill frame/space split under the actual headlamp but it looks 100% derived to me.
