I want an LC and I am eager to see refresh coming this fall. I understand it's still a 200. The interior updates are my interest. Current model feels dated.

Any new info? I have not been excited about a new car in years. Dig deep guys

You could dig deep for some patience.... in a few months you can go touch one and see if it makes you feel excited ;)

BTW an all new redesigned Prado should be due before the actual 300 series in a few years ( i think we are looking at 2017 for the new Prado ). It is always interesting when a new Prado comes out before the LC redesign as you get a hint of whats to come for the real deal ;)

In China. BTW the LC for the Chinese market is made in China by FAW Toyota.

looks very close to the current 200 series i bet it just cosmetic for the sheet metal and just fancy new add ons for the safety stuff and interior

you on't think that's a mule out for testing? I don't think they would go thru the effort of putting camo on a regular 200

They did it for the 2012/13 LX before it came out so it is not out of the ordinary.
We also saw pics of a mule of the 2016 LX being tested a few months ago.

Is Toyota doing the year skip in the US market. Are those 17s for the US and 16s everywhere else?

GXR, what you posted as "2016 test mule" on a flat bed carrier truck sure looks more like an 08-12 than something newer than 13-15.
Did you mean something rise by that post?

Exactly, it is a mix of a 08/11 and the newer 12-15. Pic was taken in Japan and it had no mud flaps, running prefacelift 200 wheels. Even the way it sits looks like it has seen some abuse and hard testing. Looks like a test mule probably for new off road systems.

Earlier in this thread someone posted up a scan of the brochure showing four interior colors. Does anyone have info. on which colors will be available for the exterior? I would love to see a dark blue show up on the options list. Toyota has offered Nautical Blue for the 4runner over the past few years, I think this color would look great on the Land Cruiser.

As far as i know two new colors. Dark brown/bronze and dark blue.

GX-R, thanks for the quick reply. That is great news to me as I would like a new Land Cruiser and would choose dark blue should it be available. By chance do you know whether or not the Land Cruiser will now get the cell-phone charging dock as in the current Camry?

Also, if anyone hears anything about dual rear screen monitors for the LC similar to the lx...

Just remember colors that show available in the info from Japan, are not always available here in the US. Case in point Super white was available here in the US 2009 through 2011 on the LC only , 2013+ Super White was replaced with blizzard pear metallic white for the US market, when other markets still had Super white as an available color. So colors can be market specific.
Also not sure this will make the states as a 16, I am curious if they are not going to skip a model year for the US market again. IE. last updated 200 some countries had 2012 cruisers, but the US skipped over the 2012 and went from 2011 to 2013 for here in the states.
