You're welcome! I'm so glad you picked this up and that it's going to a good home. As the father of three little ones (younger than your son), I'm particularly moved that this will be a father-son project. Looking forward to updates!

And in the interest of defending my home state, here's a close-up of the deer critical habitat plate:

This reminds me of the Schitts Creek town sign.

Can someone send me a link to more info on replacing fuel pump with the sequoia pump? Haven’t been able to find “why” that would be necessary.

Anyways, it’s all loaded up and on its way home! Should be in my driveway Saturday.

Can’t decide whether I’d rather have my truck under a rusty 4Runner or a VW Beetle. :hmm:

lol ya. The driver of the rig should have a sticker: “swerve if rusted vehicles fall off”

Well, there’s a super nice 100 series LC sitting in my garage. We’re traveling right now but my dad was able to receive the truck. He even washed it for me. He said it’s, by far, the nicest used vehicle he’s ever seen... I can’t wait to dig into it and make it ours!

Any recommendations for a head unit??

Clean her up real well, clay, polish, buff, seal with ceramic coat and go HAM with the baselining. At that mileage i doubt TB/WP has been done, i'd get that done out of age. Replace upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat, heater tees, replace fuel pump with the sequoia one, fuel filter, repack bearings, sway bar links, spark plugs, flush AHC, and all the gear oil. What are you planning for her mod wise?

What is this sequoia fuel pump you speak of?

2006-2007 100 series reported a couple cases of high elevation and/or heat making the fuel pump stall out and not work. We don't know for sure if it's a bad batch or some other underlying issues but a safe bet to do is replace it, part is $120 and labor is an hour of your time for peace of mind. Mine was working perfectly but i replaced it because i might be driving to Colorado soon and don't want it to stall out on high mountain passes.

I installed this in my 06 and love it. very good company, all the bells and whistles plus great customer service. Very easy to install.

Thanks. I’ve been eyeing the android-based head units. Lots of flexibility. I’ll check this one out for sure. Shoot for $280, it seems like a no-brainer. Did you hook up the OBD plug to get access to the vehicle information?

So not relevant to pre-'06 100/470s?

No I didn't as mine is a HDJ-100 with the Turbo diesel and does not talk to OBD2, wish it did, but I have to use techstream and even then not a lot of ability to change options. There are many Android units, but this one is a killer and easy to use, install etc. the hand gesture function is great.
