I'm one step closer to getting the chassis to the sand blaster. Traded my wimpy daily driver for something that can pull a trailer:
Got my new vehicle fitted with towing parts and borrowed my buddy's trailer.
Doesn't take much to squat the arse end of an FJC, huh?
Roller looks good cleaned up. Can't wait to be at that point.
No, it doesn't.
Especially when you put all the weight forward of the trailer's axles like a dummy! I did a much better job for the ride home.
I got my frame back from the blaster! Stripped it down, degreased, etched and coated it with 2 coats of POR-15. Also coated the axles and started installation of an OME suspension kit. Would have been really nice if MAF had included instructions for the lift kit!
All new tie rod ends swapped in and I pounded out the old diff drain plugs and put in new magnetic plugs.
Just need to install the shackles and the rest of the steering, then I'll finish painting the front axle and steering rods.
