Just read your entire build thread 1MAC, very nice work mate. I did a frame off on a BJ42 a few years back. I don't envy the panel beating ahead of you.

I have a '69 45 that I need to remove the steering wheel from. How did you get yours off?

Thanks dude. What about removing the horn
Thanks. I just borrowed a steering wheel puller from the local auto parts store. That's the only way to get one off that I know of.
button?

Lookin good

Awesome job! I am about to do some rust repair on my newly acquired 40.

Nice thread. Keep it up man.

I might have that switch you need by the way.

Guess I haven't updated this thread in a while. After I welded in the last patch, I flipped the tub upside down and completely stripped the underside. Shot two coats of epoxy primer followed by Raptor liner.

just read through this whole thread. you are doing a great job. getting close to the fun stuff now. love you battle scarred old diff housings circa post 61 and esp 77. they're classic! that gauge cluster still on the kitchen bench?

Any updates/photos?

@daniel.watters your post and my Facebook notification made me realize I hadn't posted an update on progress in exactly one year!
Actually, I didn't do much on the 40 until this fall. I resumed work on the body panels over Labor Day weekend, starting with patching the rusty spots on the fenders where the turn signals bolt on.
