I picked up a FJ40 from south Georgia and blasted so much red clay/sand out of the frame rails it appeared to be bleeding.

What a clean slate to begin with, both body and frame look as rust free and dreamy as you can get. What is the plan for the frame? Full body color change?

Frame is just getting a good scuff and top coat.

Not really a color change, slightly darker is all. Full glass out paint job though.

Was once white whatever color it is everyone seems to be drawn to it. I nickname it Slutty 80 because it gets all the attention

Solid, what’s the plan for the top coat?
I am working on a body swap with my buddy and he chose to just fluid film the frame instead of painting (outside NY winter) not ideal for painting but was going back and forth on what to paint the frame with.

Man, it looks like that thing is getting the full spa-day treatment. I can't even begin to imagine the cost to have something like that done. That's a lot of shop hours.

Painting the frame on Friday so it can have four days undisturbed over the holiday.

As planned we finished up our week by painting the frame. Two coats after a ton of prep paid off, it is buttery smooth and sealed up for many years to come.
