I went for the quick and dirty on these.
In the past we have made a new bracket to hold the tweets in the dash. I didn’t feel like taking the time to do that on my Cruiser. So I notched the plastic housing and glued them in.
I am really trying to like this head unit, as mentioned earlier in the thread it’s my first double din and touch screen, ever! I guess I am just old school and like a single din plain jane head unit.
Fired up the new sound system to test it all and make sure I am gtg. The last couple hours I been been rocking just two front door speakers and the sub. Man, I have missed having a nice sound system in my Cruiser! Since I put this one on the road it has been absolutely ass for sound system. I also have not had a Cruiser with a sweet sound system since 2017, so ya I am pretty stoked to say the least. I have done a few builds now with the Morels, they are really stupendous!

Mounted in the dash grills.
Yup not centered. This took me about 20-30mins vs fabbing a bracket from scratch. A bit ghetto but it is a passing grade on my truck.

Final on the carpet.
Doing the final install on it after a lot of fitment. Fit it, cut it, adjust, take it out, trim it and then finally do the last install. I am glad we can get these but they are A LOT of work to fit. All the cutting takes a fair amount of time and there is very little room for error. Happy it is nearly done and again happy we can get these, my old carpet is/was super scummy. I would take OEM any day though over this.

This one is just my junk, one of two and another on a working list of Cruisers owned.
I don’t plan on getting rid of this one though. We’ll see, I have set a two Cruiser limit for myself and I most certainly want a 75/79-series and a 105 as well and even a 73-series!
