Those are VERY safe, but then again, you don't have too many real hills down there.

I beg to differ. The local elevation sometimes varies by as much as +/- 50'. By South Georgia standards that's a mountain.

The turbo is somewhat visible is you're willing to lay on your back. :)

The pyrometer probe is visible in this photo just below the heat shield.

3 stages of owning a 2H powered HJ75.....
Stage 1 ....( Prior to the engine rebuild ) ..... The truck would lose speed going up an incline in 5th gear.
Stage 2 .... (After the engine rebuild) .... The truck would hold its own and slightly accelerate. (A normally aspirated 2H is an impressive powerplant). ;)
Stage 3 .... (Turbo installation) ..... The truck will accelerate easily in 5th gear on the same incline. (10-11 psi of boost and temps. in the 750 degree range.)
I really should have done this years ago. :)

Did you have to adjust the fuel flow? I can see u used a Garrett turbo which size model etc . I would like to start to accumulate the part to make this happen on my 2H FJ60.

The fuel was adjusted and we used a new 28 Series (Ball Bearing) Garrett turbo.

Really nice temps. The temps I see climb really quickly if I get on it or on an incline.
We dogged it pretty hard and never got temps. over 850 degrees.

:hillbilly: I bet....
Correction ..... Using my ultra conservative standards, we dogged it pretty hard.
Bear in mind that I have 602 more monthly payments on the engine rebuild and turbo installation so I'm trying to be gentle.

So, Charles, they featured your pickup in the current issue of 4WD Toyota Owner magazine WITHOUT the turbo?

Seems they need to do a tech article on the install, given your stellar results!

I've not seen the magazine yet.

sheeet, you be famous in a mag too??
glad you be happy.
I was famous already (at least in my own mind) and I have not seen this magazine. (Our local magazine shops only carry Playboy and John Deere Weekly)
I am always happy when I realize I'm the only guy in town who isn't driving a Jeep. :)
