It's not obvious in the photo but the screen is made of a wire mesh and is very strong.

It was touch and go there for a while but I was comforted by the fact that I had 4wheel drive available.
....and a winch on the 74 if it gets too heavily bogged.......

My John Deere tractor was about a 1/4 mile away in the barn. : )
Not a certified critic here, but photo composition for "serious off-roading" would benefit from putting one front wheel up on a boulder size ant hill.

That is the old cable.I would cook the old cable in grease and then put it in storage in-case you kink the newbie.
