Awesome, that first pic with the trailer gives me movement in my pants, haha!!:D:clap:

Good to see it up an running Rob, now just enjoy driving that beast...especially once the turbo is strapped to it! :steer:

thank u fellas, i having been charging battery all night and is now charged so I can at least get it to mechanic to have a look at, going to price a volt reg as well at NAPA. Will post back up with results of Turbo once installed.

If yours is a 6-wire regulator with a connector like the one shown in this diagram - then a "Transpo IN551" should be a suitable aftermarket solid-state version (sold over your way) Rob:

My searching isn't very successful at the moment on the IN218 version. (I can't find any images.) I think I saw something on MUD about it being used on a 12 volt BJ60 ...But I wonder what type of connector it uses (round or rectangular) :hhmm:

IN551 uses a rectangular 6-pin connector as shown in my schematic.

I hope it fits anyway Rob. (And for all I know you may have a round connector on your BJ42 anyway.)

Edit 24/2/10....IN218 is for internally-regulated alternators so it is unsuitable. IN551 is the ONLY suitable Transpo regulator for this application AFAIK.

crankcase breather bascially, all 3B's have it. relieves pressure I think??

Ah, good to know, I'll do a search on this. Couldn't locate in manual or in 3b build searches. Mine seems to be chugging out lots of exhaust, I'll have to see if this is normal
By the way, your rig is looking great, we have the same kind

couple more goodies for the cruiser. Hant hooked up the air lockers yet for had to decide on a compressor so went with extremeaire. And now going to start battling the noise factor so bought this sound deadner from CCOT for front and back and goint to get some firewall stuff from Super soundproofing for engine firewall and interior along with under hood liner and will aslo do behind my interior plastic panels. Also plan on taking a leaf of each spring for I bought the heavys and pretty stiff. still need to reinstall my A/C, and on board hot water system from helton and getting ready to buy a snorkel.
