I think they only sell one gasket, so can't be much difference in the fit..

I thought maybe there was an issue with an oil pickup?
Yes, the oil pickups are different due to the different oilpumps, which is why the baffles in the oilpan are different

Got it—thanks. With some trimming I should be able to get it to fit. Too bad my rebuilder threw out my junk 1F pan!
I installed one on my stock 1973 F engine. Didn't trim anything. I've put on a few hundred miles, and everything is fine, no oil pressure problems, etc.
One of the baffles rubbed against the humongous oil pump suction screen housing, but not enough to impede the proper fit. The dipstick fits (and works) fine.
