Nothing goes together like a "PBR" in the morning and a chainsaw....
That's how we roll out here. PBR for breakfast, real beer for brunch.

@ZooTownCruiser

Humble apologies for the semi-highjack... @rkymtnflyfisher and I share a common ancestor somewhere in the past. We need a "Made in FT Benning" sticker I think...

OK, OK I promise I'll move this to Chit-Chat..

I’m looking at another AT for the grocery getter. I need snow/wet weather rated. The ole Tundra doesn’t see very much ”off road”. The Mule sports an AT3 as well. Although some of the new hybrid designs look promising.

Probably an AT but not opposed to a MT

Maybe one day you can get your 40 up to Lost Trail! M/Ts don't make it a fun drive though!

I rolled the dice on a set of Falken AT’s for the Tundra and have been pleasantly surprised. Excellent road manners, good even wear, performs great on wet/snow and they didn’t break the bank..

For reference, the tail light iterations. BJT, 25, 40 (not including the different wagon/PU variants)

We stock everything but the top one @ Cruiser Outfitters

Haven't been following along but thought would add a little tech. The FJ25 and first couple of years of the FJ40 used the same.tail lights. Difference is the FJ25 bracket mounted to the tub and FJ40 bracket mounted to the rear frame member like on the FJ40 until 9/73. Some how ended up a member of brackets for the real early FJ40. Spacing to the from is the same as the tail light bracket up the the early 69 when they went to larger tail lights. Later bracket bolts are offset.

Ladies and Gentleman, I am back. My apologies for the unexcused absence. I had an all expenses paid 9 month vacation to the Middle East. Compliments of your tax payer dollars and the U.S. Army 😂😂.

@rkymtnflyfisher hooked me up with the guys at 4plus for a rear bumper. If anyone knows the handle for the guys at 4plus please tag them. This bumper looks great, and for not having any instructions, was super easy to install.

The PO had welded on a plate where the old receiver hitch had been. So step one was to cut that SOB off.

Top bolts for the old spare tire carrier came off without any drama. The bottom bolts however were a wee bit rusty and did the typical pain in the ass thing.

With that everything else went on without a hitch.

Next on the list is to mount some side mirrors. I bought some from cool cruisers that mount to the windshield hinge. Not sure I am the biggest fan of them yet. Of course the bolts gave me a hard time. So I have order new bolts and will wait to install the mirrors until new bolts arrive.

I also would like to convert the bench seat into buckets with a tuffy box in between. And suggestions for bolt in options? Seems Corbeau makes a sliding adapter option. Anything else out there?

Other items are to chase down oil leaks. Install new weather stripping and headliner. I am also on the hunt for a 2f engine.

Oh almost forgot, the clutch master cylinder took a crap on me the other day as well. I found a replacement kit from cool cruisers that had both the master and slave cylinder. Easy install!

What else should I be looking into?

What else should I be looking into?
Putting gas in it and driving around!

Oh, and putting some gas shocks in the rear hatch supports so you can drive around with the AC on.
