Bent the shifter for better clearance. 1st, neutral and reverse with clearance to seat in reverse.

Might bend it another 5-10* but it does feel good from the drivers seat and we can do that anytime so calling it good for now.

Cheers

I got distracted at 4:30 this afternoon with this.

It’s coming back to me to finish out. Basically the Nissan version of the HDJ45.

However, shock placement is nearly there.

I will gusset the tower, probably with large gussets but you get the idea.

I got the King damper and mount for the draglink, a tubing clamp I will add a stud or bracket to.

I also have two styles of tabs in hand for mounting the reservoirs on the shocks.

Thinking about mounting this here, nothing decided yet and need to work out the air box too.

Lower shock mount roughed in.

Reservoir on front test fitted. I did order the Kings with 90’s. Have to flex it up again to check clearances.

A very sexy starter, 3kw doesn’t hurt too. 😍

So I have started in on rear shock mounts. Don’t judge to much yet, just getting started.

I want a pin on one side or the other, I have decided frame side it is just like Toyota does.

Got to angle them in to fit a 10” shock, would need a bracket that drops it another two inches below the axle if mounting vertical. Don’t like that so modifying these Sky Manufacturing brackets to suit the angle of the dangle. They do place the shock nicely on the axle side, plenty of room for ebrake cable and brake line.

Got my OEM 80-series steering box bolts in and the 1/2” ID piece of dom to sleeve the frame.

Finally got the new Marlink in that is the correct length.

Oh ya, that is one flat draglink. Just how we like it.

I doubt it will stay that level though. Can you see the potential issue here?

The concern is pitman arm to leaf under compression.

We can adjust the box up a bit and we have the flat pitman arm as well but the objective here is a flat draglink.

I'm have the same issue on my 40, but the adjustment is going to be painful.

Well, somewhat disappointing news today.

Toyota steering box is simply not going to work. Two clearance issues, one tie rod to sector shaft on box and second, drag link to leaf. We can only get 3" up travel no matter how we try and set up the box before things touch in these areas. 3" of up travel is not cutting it, we going with the full 5".

So Saginaw it is. :(

My only disappointment with the Saginaw is the Cruiser will no longer be 100% Toyota and Land Cruiser. Oh well, it simply won't clear without major mods to the frame which we are not doing.

Cheers

I did clarify today this will fit, just barely but it will fit.

We are going to have to get the radiator portion of it custom made to fit the 40-series grill. Otherwise, it is a go.

I don't see any other way to do an intercooler besides a big ugly hood scoop and we are not doing that.

Any ideas, I am all ears.

Cheers
