Wheel and upgraded rotor.

Always loved the Marlin high steer kit, used it a number of times. The FRO is probably stronger but this truck won’t see hardcore wheeling.

Everything clears at full lock and stuff on the RHS.

I thought you guys meant the shock vertical but I realized later you mean the tower. The tire clears by 2 1/4” on the shock body at full stuff. I don’t see an issue but I may angle the tower back a bit anyways.

Cheers

So I cut the Ford shock towers in half to change the angle from 17.5* to 10*, welded back together and test fit.

The only thing I don’t like now is the front to back or side to side angle of the dangle. This is mount top of axle housing.

If I move the mount forward off center of the axle housing I like it much more.

I also flipped the two bottom leaves around in the pack, custom leaf pack so playing with it. I am probably going to mount the shock forward with either a customized bracket or I will buy a new bracket. I have some offset bucket brackets coming for the rear, so will take a quick look at using that style up front when I get them.

The front is coming together though, steering box with new pitman arm setup and mounting the resi’s will finish it off. Well, bump stops and steering damper too. Going with King damper to match shocks. Bumps I don’t think I am dropping much if at all.

Cutting out the rear shock frame crossmember next. Bending up a new tube that angles back and up to gain nearly two inches for shock length.

Cheers

We are getting the ceiling in the shop insulated tomorrow, it was quick and easy to toss on the rear hubs and tires. So tomorrow we will push it outside, I will take a few more pics then.

Cheers

the way you brought the upper shock mounts closer in looks much better. they looked inverted before.

The DOM rear shock crossmember, 2” 3/16wall.

Just the first test fit, will adjust it a bit yet so it isn’t so far back.

Cheers

Also worked out some details with our custom fuel tank this morning. Going to use stock 70-series sending unit and pickup plus filler neck. Ordered all that this morning and the tank will get flanges to accept these items.

Cheers

Got the Sky pitman arms in, flat and 3/4” drop. One or the other will be used, these are nice and beefy.

@bottombracket had hooked us up awhile back with a 1HDFT a/c compressor mounting bracket. I dug it out today and check that a 1PZ/1HZ/3FE a/c compressor fit it. It does, not sure if the nose cone/clutch on it is long enough though.
