Wheels look great with those new BFG's. Not sure about all those wheel weights on there though.

Yeah... the shop said it took a lot of weight on that one wheel (they are using zinc weights now instead of lead so it takes more pieces to get to the same weight)... I was considering calling Tire Rack to see what could be done...
My shop said the tire runs straight on the machine....
Though it has been 30 years since I mounted tires for a living, there is no way I would have let a tire go out of the shop looking like that. They should have at least demounted and spun it 180 degrees. I would take that one back for sure.

Most good shops will not mount a 10.5 on a stock rim...
100% concur on that one.
Before sending the tire back, it may be worth removing the tire and just having the shop spin and see if the rim itself has an inbalance...and if so, have the company which did the widening fix the issue.
Stockton Wheel is building mine, and I would not hesitate sending them back if they were out of true, or had balancing issues.
BTW, love the color and painting exactly the same with mine with period-correct re-pop hubcaps.

I have a set of the newer hubcaps I think I am going to use... we'll see. I just can't justify the $ for the repro originals when the truck is still so in need of $ for other things.

So in fact I got the tires from Summit Racing (I had just bought some tires for my son at TireRack - guess I AM getting old!) I submitted a Customer Service request, we'll see how they respond.

just FYI Mike was selling "blems" for $25 a pop I believe. I bought several sets and could hardly tell the difference from the non blems.

So, since this motor is already in the LV what would be involved in getting a v8 in it? Is there an older (carbed?) v8 that would bolt up in place of this for a no muss-no fuss v8 swap?

If Mr. Wiki is correct:

That is correct on the bellhousings.

I'm looking for measurements to gauge the current state of (non) lift on my LV. I'd like to know ground to bottom of REAR SIDE DOOR with 33" tires with various springs/lifts etc. (using this distance because it should be pretty easy for all to measure). I want to know how much additional height I will get out of various lifts over what is on the truck now.
Right now the 33" MTs are a very tight fit in the rear (see pics).

I measured from top of ubolt to bottom of frame.
--front = 5 3/4"
--rear = 8 3/4"
This is with OME heavy springs, rear shackles installed in the front, and longer anti-inversion shackles in the rear (from man-a-fre).
