Looked at a few different things, wanted to make it waterproof and tough to handle dirt and rock and things in the storage area and walking on it and the dog in the floor area. Ended up using a garage floor coating coating kit and just left the colored chips out of it.Looks great. What did you use to coat it?
Yeah I am a little worried about that, when its like 90 in July it could get pretty hot, it gets cool at night though. I think the top will still be white though which should help in the midday hours. You're doing a great job. In Montana you can probably paint it any color you like. Here in AZ you pick the most reflective color available or you bake. And you still bake anyway. Our friends with a dark brown trailer from up North can't cool it down in the summer unless they find some trees for shade. Even with A/C.
The rear area behind the wheel wells is accessible from the outside hatch. The question is really just do I also want it to be accessible from the inside.I would not waste any available space. Build a lid or twin lids for that section. In fact, I would add lids over the wheel wells too.
A tip out storage in front of the wheel wells would be slick. The rear area behind the wheel wells is accessible from the outside hatch. The question is really just do I also want it to be accessible from the inside.
The space between the wheel wells will be a large drawer. I have been thinking about how to make small cubby spaces on the front or top of the wheel wells as well.
