Welded in and removed other side. Not very excited about doing this again. Also thought about those Aquala beds again lol.

Got sidetracked on metal work. Picked up a 77 2f to rebuild. Cylinder walls look pretty good I can still see cross hatch in all cylinders. Measured as standard size. Hopefully I can hone and put some rings in it.

@miller is the 2F for the ‘63 ? If so are you going to put a 4spd behind it and keep the column shift?

Pulled truck off with my 75 40 and pushed into garage. Cleaned some dirt out of frame.

Finished up motor disassembly. Everything measures within tolerance. The main bearings have some bumps on them not sure what thats about but will install new. Taking head and block to machine shop. Block going to hot tank, new cam bearings, freeze plugs and hone. Head normal refresh check for cracks. Now back to metal work.

Patched a hole and soon to be hole where channel supports are located above WW top.

Yes. Im a big patina fan but this one will need a paint job!

Worked on getting the new floor straight. A 6x6 and some lag screws did the trick. Also bought another driveline from a 1985 FJ60. It was local and cheap. Gives me a few more options. Checked compressions 150 on all cylinders.

I think around $1500 for machine shop and parts as long as block can be honed and no cracks are found.

Finally committed to the other WW. On another note I bought this M12 band file a few months back. What a great tool for metal work!

WW welded in. Started removing channel supports that are full of dirt.

I got plasma cutter going which helped removing the vertical channels at bed floor. Removed front support channel and front sill. Thats enough dirt and dust for today!
