If you price grills for trucks this is a good deal in my opinion. Most tundra grills require hacking up the factory grill (at least for the 2012 I had) to install and can cost more than this. As solid as this is I was actually a little surprised it wasn't more.

Ya...ok. That is about half the price of an ARB bumper, not a good deal in my book. But each to their own.

Sure if you want to compare apples to oranges. In the world of grills, not bumpers or lockers, this is a reasonable price.

^^^ That is a fact. Toyota is getting $600+ for the OE TRD PRO grills that guys want for their 5th Gen 4Runners.

And Rigid Industries is fetching $650 for the 4Runner grille and $700+ for the Tacoma, Tundra, & FJ Cruiser grilles. If you realize the amount of time, effort, trial and error that goes into developing these you would see why it has a high price tag. You get what you pay for, and in this case you get a one-of-a-kind modular steel grill that has never been made for our Land Cruisers before, and that can be painted/powder coated to the customers desire.

Thanks for the input. I wanted it to be less, honestly. However, when I actually realized the cost of laser cutting with all the holes on the grill, then my cost expectations were shot. I wanted it at $399 but there is no way. Like you said though, its solid and an 18lb beast of a grill might be worth $500 to some?? If not, no biggie.

Oh, and its a go now for the 98-2002. I test fit the last version with the changes and it fits nicely. I just ordered two sets and they will be here next week. All the new ones will be a hex/honeycomb hole pattern with maximum air flow. Its really wide open now and it looks way better too. 2003-2007 should be done soon, I just need a late model LC to test fit the grill in the So Cal area.

Any plans on mass producing?? I think you have a real good product here. No options for mesh style grilles. Something like this would be cool. This is my old 5th gen with an FJ60 emblem.

I was in Carlsbad in April and I swear I saw this 4 runner in front of a Mexican restaurant???

Black panel: The old, smaller hole pattern
New, larger hole pattern
New hex pattern.

They all look good but the hex pattern looks awesome!

Got to test fit the grill today and man do I love it! First thing I noticed was how beefy it is but not overkill like some grills that are offered for other vehicles. It really fits with the Land Cruiser personality if that makes any sense. It follows all the lines of the hood and headlights extremely well, and IMHO it looks far better than the flimsy plastic grill that looked like it could break at any moment just by leaning on it while working in the engine bay. Now I have to wait on the sandblasting and powder coating before final installation!
