Pulled from a lo mileage rebuild engine that suffered a HG failure, which was all the reason the PO needed to install a diesel. Less than 2k miles. TEQ cam that could be NOS, but I am more comfortable listing as a regrind.
Lifters do not have the long term 'shoulders' that regrounds show, but...
So i was just googleing class action lawsuits by various groups vs toyota.....tundra /Sequoia and anyone 5.7groups. Some are only doing 2008-2018 while many others are doing 2010-present models. i havent followed this on the j200 and wondered if there was any consenus on years affected...
Christmas Eve the LX470 left me stranded with the key spinning in the ignition, but no go. Visited the web for common problems and found this video. No problem…got the rig home via AAA, and opened it up.
After 2.5 hours of digging out the old busted part, I had it clean. Ordered the new...
Hey guys, I have a weird issue here: the fuel pump won't fit/sit flush on the block on this 1974 F.5 that I'm working on. Here's the story:
Bought a fuel pump rebuild kit from Cruiser Cult, but opted not to rebuild the fuel pump because (a) the arm had a divot worn in it and (b) was expecting...
Can anyone reccomend a shop that could install the KP Offroad cam/cam tab upgrade kit for my 4runner and do an alignment, that won't cost a kidney? I reached out to one shop who quoted me $1200. I may be wrong but that sounds really high to me. They had also quoted me roughly $600 to weld on...
Today's project was hardwiring my dash cam. I've got an older ROAV unit that I may upgrade soon. Fortunately (unfortunately) the previous owner had bluetooth speaker mounted in the sunglasses holder. They had already tapped 12v switched power off of the sunroof controls. I tried to get some...
Working on reassembling the early (1960) F135 engine for the FJ28 “Lara” project and found one of the rockers cracked and some bolts stripped. The rockers are extra tall, almost 3”. I’m not sure how late they made the engines like that, but mid-60s at least were shorter. Bolts are about 5.75”...
im hearing/reading that previous standards are no more or hard to come by?
are there new made any more or is it down to just regrinds?
looking to build two 2fs and should have bought parts long ago.
I like to install a dash cam on my 2014 LX 570. I came across this YouTube video showing how he tapped into the power in the rearview mirror. I was wondering if this procedure can be done on the LX 570.
Thank you.
OK, short story long.
I wanted to replace leaking 2uz VVTI cam seals, they were making a mess. I got the parts, watched the video, and thumbed through the FSM. I DID NOT want to replace the water pump and all the goodies because it had already been done 40k ago (documented). And yes I should...
I currently need a new cam in my 1F due to bad pitting. I plan to put new lifters and cam in. When I was searching for a new cam I noticed cruiser corps is showing there cam they offer, working from 68-92 land cruisers. If this is correct I have a used 3fe engine apart and the cam is in good...
I tried going in deep enough to replace my water pump preventively. But I got stuck early as I just could not get this stupid can gear off. It’s like it’s welded on. I found a puller that fits at a local shop but the teeth on it just bend. I’m not sure more force is really going to help preserve...
This is how I have my distributor set, I'm afraid that I have it a tooth off on the cam. 83 Fj60 dizzy and flywheel on a 1.5f don't really know if that makes too much of a difference
