I got a nice pair of buckets out of a 2002 Checy Silverado. I have always thought their seats were comfortable, plus they have integral shoulder harnesses. These are dark charcoal and are manual adjust/lumbar. Getting them in was not too bad. They are almost too big for the space, but everything lines up good. I have 8" in between the seats for a center console of some sorts.

I also removed the tattered headliner and scraped out most of the insulation. Looks much better now.

Cool... I was thinking about doing the same thing only with the fullsized Dodge benchseat with the intergrated seatbelts and the center fold down compartment/middleseat.

did they bolt dirrectly to the floor? do they lean to one side? are you going to reinforce the flooring where the seats bolt?

btw.... whats happenin with the streetrod in the background?
 
They were the right height to just bolt to the floor. I used all 1/2" bolts and fender washers underneath. All the bolt holes were near crossmembers so I think it is pretty sturdy. The floor pan is contoured, so I shimmed the corneers so it was level.

I wanted to get a 60/40 type bench seat, but they were too wide for the Pig. Make sure you measure your pig and the seats.

The hot rod is my 1953 MG TD........well not much of a hot rod, but it is another project ready to suck my funds dry ;) Here is a shot of it in the driveway.

I havent measured the dodge seats yet. I was going to do this with my old Pig (same one owned now by calicokid).. but I never got around to doing it. I might see if I can get a measurement this week. Kinda curious to see if it would work. I will keep my factory bench seat in my current pig... but the wife and I are now seriously considering doing the FJ55-130 conversion mentioned in another thread.

I think Nuclearlemon has it right. I believe I was told when I bought it that it was an ARB bumber, but it makes more sense that it is a 4+.
 
Can't be a TD, TDs didn't have wire wheels....unless you've got TF wire wheels...have an MGA rear end too?

This is not the only TD I have seen with wire wheels. All the running gear is original, the Lucas motor was scrapped by some PO and a Volvo motor was put in. My wife owned it for 20 years, while we were still dating/engaged she surprised me one Christmas by signing the title over to me :grinpimp:

I think I may find a wrecked Miata and put the motor and tranny into it. Make it look mostly stock. Someday, I am Piggie obsessed right now. :cheers: :beer:

Yep FJ60 PS. I am going to update the tie rod, etc with beefy heims, new brackets, all that good stuff.
 
The PS pump is a standard GM type. I have one of the 330 HP crate motors, NV4500 and later model split style transfer.

Yep, actually a not hooked up drum e-brake. I need a longer cable to make it work. I have 4 wheel disks, so its my main option for an e-brake. I was thinking about installing one of those brake fluid e-brake things to use as a back-up.

Cool pictures-- The exact same type of seats (but brown) have been sitting in my garage waiting for install in my 72 piggy. Can you show more pictures of the floor beneath the seats? I would like to see where you drilled the holes and how you shimmed the seats.

I would love to go to Moab, not sure it is in my cards though :crybaby:
