Hello everyone,
I'll be honest with you and don't get me wrong.
Since I joined the forum I've noticed the prices of the LC80 in usa is high I thought at beginning is overpriced but wasn't like that.
See from what I analysed you People who is from north america knows only what you get in your democratic market and that is why I see why the LC80 is sold in high price comparing to others (maybe I'm wrong but this my opinion)

For our country we do have a variety of different Suvs such as: Nissan patrol, mitsubishi pajero, Chevrolet/GMC tahoe/yukon, land rover discovery, etc.(here I'm talking about competitor's not prices because I know the discovery is more expensive than the LC80)
So we do have different choices.

Yes finding clean LC80 with OEM parts is expensive but not like usa and I think the reason for prices getting higher due to Toyota discontinued the land cruiser from usa.

And this what I found through searching in american website's
LC80 sold in auction for $80000 with 120000km (74k miles) that a lot of money or someone asking for 44500$ for a vehicle with 157500km (98400 mile)

Yes I see how much I get if I can export lc80 to usa 😂.

While the owner of this LC80 in our domestic market with under 125k km (78k miles) trying to sell vehicle for under $35000

If this one was in usa will not be sold for under $50000
Bigger market=bigger value

Thanks to inflation, $80,000 is not a lot of money today.

A nice 80 series with some choice upgrades is a bargain under $100k compared to anything you can buy new today for that same money.

A basic commuter car that can pull out into traffic is around $40k today. A decked out pickup that will be obsolete scrap in 10 years is $100k.

You got sales numbers for the other markets?

Many Americans have lots of money and $100,000.00 is pocket change to these people. Also americans love to collect anything. Lots of people like classic cars in mint condition.

This is why you will see low mileage mint condition 80 series sell for a bunch of money here.

My 97 collectors edition with 150,000 miles on the odometer and lots of mods would be lucky to sell for $10,000, but it will run just as good as any other 80 series except it has dents 🤷‍♂️

AMERICA!!!!

Demand and Supply. You have a lot more supply in GCC, Landcruisers are everywhere in the GCC but you hardly see any in the USA.

Cool story bro. I paid $1800 each for my Land Cruisers. That was in the olden days of pre-COVID.

I also lucked out pre-Covid. Bought my 80 in Cali for $3000.

I think they all look funny. I love 200s but man Toyota got SUPER lazy with the exterior design. Wouldn’t stop me from buying one but it never grew on me.
They all just look like different variations of the same Lego brick. No personality.
