We don't deserve their love. There is nothing that will take the pain of this experience away, just have to get through it and look forward to loving another pup with the same kind of love you gave Finn when the time is right.
It really is. Leafs front and back but looks really capable. My biggest question was if the rear was dovetailed, and after getting the Owner's IG handle, I confirmed that it is indeed dovetailed. Owner's IG: @fj40wiley
Saw this on a social media post from Cruise Moab, would like to find more info out about the setup. I messaged the person who posted it, but am not getting any response.
I have a set of 5 of those same tires, in great shape, 90% tread on 4 and 100% tread on the spare, but they are mounted to wheels. I'd have no interest in separating the wheels and tires, and you probably want to re-use your current wheels. And, I'm on the wrong coast. If you want to stay...
Is this piece specific to the FJ62? I have a rear lift gate from an '83 FJ60 that's mostly intact....but I'm guessing this is something to do with electric locks?
If still not clear after reading through the links and looking at the photos in those links PM me and I can send you my cell # and face time with you if you have an Iphone. I assume the '62 column shift mechanism is identical to the ones in my '69 and '70 40's
You need to remove the shift lever. The shift lever engages the buggered up threaded component. You will need to source a good used one, I am pretty sure I have one you could use to replicate if you cannot source a used one, but want to keep it in my inventory for future needs. The shift...
I'm gonna try to pin the tail on the donkey. I see it as a term of endearment from a decade and a half or more ago. Back in the earlier forum days, Pistol Pete from the Baja racing scene was involved with some online banter with the rock crawlers on Pirate4x4 once those rigs started to "go...
Very very bummed to have missed the event this weekend. Duties at home just wouldn't allow me to peel away. I'm sure it was a great event as the others have been!
@azrockbum This is really a bitchin little 40. Very unique and I would guess pretty capable trail rig for the stock-ish looking stance. ARB in the rear too? Not a buyer, have too many projects as it is, but this would be a sweet little 40 to own if you wanted a nice driver and very capable...
Dumb question, I haven't had one of these lockers in my hand... is there a similar opening 180 degrees from the one you are unable to remove the block from that may have a slightly larger opening?
If you are successful at this, consider clear bib light lenses. There was a member here reproducing them, but stopped due to quality issues.

I would look for a good cheap runner to swap in, and then spend some time looking for the right shop to rebuild the one you removed. They are out there.....
