Hey all, I have the original ("cut") version of this bumper and have been on the look out for a hitch-mounted tray bike rack. I have a single swing out with a 275/70r18 mounted, but will be moving to a 285 or 295 with my next set of tires likely. Has anyone found a rack that clears the swingout/spare?? Thanks!
1up

@benc Hey Ben, Did you ever come up with a high clearance hitch design that did not go below the bumper? I know that would require some cutting of the cross-brace. Just curious if you ever designed anything or if your just going to stick with what you have. I know your other design was like that, but your other design is no longer on the website.

Hey @benc what swing out options do you have for this right now? I see a bunch of stuff on IG for the 200... Where does it all stand?
Bump....

@benc

I know you have your hands full with 10k dollar 200 series builds right now so it's hard to worry about us lowly 100 guys (joking / sarcasm in case it doesn't come across), but any chance you have any plans for the rear swing arms for the 100?

I think its safe to say when I spoke to him at HIH9 that all swing arm options are available. The kitchen / table style swing arm from the 200 series has not been finalized for the 100 series but should not see an issue once an example has been mounted. Possible adjustments needed. Correct me if im wrong guys.

You could always give him a call tomorrow🤷‍♀️

I'm in no rush. Figured the whole community can benefit if he posts. Don't need to bother him with a call when I'm looking for general info on his plans and such.

I'm interested in a ladder, but last I saw he planned on improving his ladder with some new ideas before he started shipping them. I'm not going to norcal any time soon so I can't be the guinea pig.

sorry for the lack of updates! We have been extremely busy with both 100 and 200s!
The best place to stay up to date on products would be Instagram, and email if the quickest way to get a response. For what it’s worth the lc100 and lc200 use the same swing arms, most every option you see on the 200s are available for the 100. Thanks again for all the support!

Glad to see you guys are staying busy. Your work is top notch!

Thanks for the update. I didn't know they use the same swing arm, that's sweet. I'll shoot you an email when I'm looking to pull the trigger!

We have some big news! We will be moving from our 4000 sf facility to a 24,000 sf facility beginning to mid December. This will have a designated 6000 sf install/mechanics shop along with show rooms, waiting area and 10,000 sf manufacturing shop. We will also have indoor storage for all customers vehicles!

Crossposted from his 200 series thread, but pretty cool news for Ben and team on growing into a new facility

Picked up the rear bumper I won at HIH9 at the shipping hub yesterday. Thanks to @benc and Dissent Offroad for supporting Hundreds in the Hills year after year. I cant wait to get this thing on!

Has anyone installed their hi lift mount on the tire carrier? I still haven't and I need to do that this week. A pic/explanation of where it's installed would probably save me some time when I go to figure it out, if anyone has one!

Wondering the same thing but have been too distracted to post.

Design question: seeing how many fasteners are present, wouldn't fastener loosening be a problem w. Long term exposure to washboards and related vibration?

I have zeroed in on this product for my rig but concerned about it shaking apart. Some of my thought on this:
a) once installed and adjusted correctly, mark configuration, take apart, install industrial grade double sided tape between all mated surfaces, the reassemble.

b) tack weld all mating pieces together after install.

With any method, locktite all fasteners w. Semi-permanent stuff (takes heat to break the thread bond).

In aerospace, design practice dictates safety wiring all nuts/bolts in high vibration environments.

Am I missing something?

You could certainly do any/all of these if you feel like it would be helpful to you. My bumper is pretty new so I'm not speaking from first-hand experience here but the shop (Landcruiser Specialists in Austin) that helped on this has installed many od Ben's products and while his may have a few more bolts (OK a lot more) they have not had any customers mention lost hardware or even loose nuts. I plan to put a wrench on bolts periodically for the first several months (and flex the truck often as possible) to settle everything in.
