Good evening. First time back here in a while - it’s good to be back. Previously owned an ‘01 LX that I sold 2 years ago with only 114k miles. Grabbed an ‘11 LX with roughly the same miles. The LX is a cream puff and damn near perfect, but I miss the 100 series. Came across a 2000 LC with about 164k miles that has spent its life in the Tampa Bay Area. Meticulously maintained, but definitely some rust to be mindful. Would love to get thoughts on rust spots in attached pics. Selling price in the 20s - Can’t believe I sold my ‘01 2 years ago for 14…..

My wife didn't like my ad, so I've redone it, with pictures. She has put very few miles on it in the past 6, 7 years, because she drives her 2015 LX570 most of the of the time. Since spring 2018, she's only driven it 10,784 miles, to date (7-14-23.) The Michelin LTX MS2's have 12,630 miles on them and are in great shape. She's driven it mostly in FL and CA, the last six years being in CA, where it now sit's in the garage.

I have a 1998 Land Cruiser 100 series I have slowly been building up between other builds. It has great bones and no rust (purchased new in Little Rock). It’s got some bumps and bruises and needs love cosmetically, but it is ready to hit the trail or daily drive. Here’s a list of work that’s been done within the last two months. AC is cold and heat is hot, I also have a brand new oem alternator, denso radiator, and oem serp belt that I can install for the new owner at my shop. The previous owner had a local shop in Mt. Locked, 256k miles, ice cold a/c, fresh timing belt (AISIN kit), fresh synthetic fluids (motor, diffs, x-case, trans), 3k miles on new Goodyears, new rear rotors, pads and one new rear caliper. ZERO RUST.
Has dented and dinged panels, needs shocks. It’s missing the quarter window on the rear passenger door. I’m only selling it to upgrade to another 100 that is a little nicer😁.

Bought this to turn in to an "overland" rig for an upcoming 9k mile trip before I fully understood the fuel consumption. Will be taking my Montero instead. Got it with a bad ahc ram and put a 2" ironman set up on it, runs and drives perfectly. All AHC Components are functional and present besides the rams. New windshield, looks to have had the transfer case replaced recently. Timing belt done recently, 18s and newer michelins on it. New brakes in the back. Interior is pretty clean, drivers seat has a booboo. Spent most of its life in florida and west virginia so midwest hasnt eaten it yet. Hood paint kinda sucks but it still looks good. Tilt column doesnt work and passenger mirror housing is cracked (works fine)

Runs smooth and quiet with no smoke, and drives! Replaced gas tank, and new fuel pump, replaced brake lines. It needs the frame swapped, I do NOT recommend driving it regularly until chassis is swapped out that is included along with other parts.

I thought this was going to be my 'forever' truck but I've got an opportunity to jump to a 200 for a very, very good deal so I'm trying to figure out the numbers. It's not as 'built' as some other trucks out there, but I'm probably one of the few people that have spent more on maintenance than mods. This isn't just a 'I changed the fluids' baselining. I work at a dealership and most of the work has been done by Master techs. Pretty rare color, too (Mystic Sea Opalescent).

I’m considering a 100 with 200,000 miles that lived most of its life in PA. Must have been garaged and used by mostly just the driver because the exterior and interior are in really great shape. Drivetrain seems solid and I’ll have that evaluated after the 4th.
I’ve crawled the vehicle front to back, top to bottom, looking at the inevitable salt belt rust and it’s there, but not as bad as it could be. The frame seems solid everywhere I test it. There are many rusty brackets, but surface rust as far as I can tell. The one area that's falling apart is a piece that goes across the back of the vehicle that appears to be a bumper support. Looking to move my 03 LX470. I absolutely love it, but bought a JDM 60 series and quickly realized I don't need both.
I bought it from a buddy and have only owned it for about a year. I did all the mods, so everything is new. Simple, very clean build using a lot of good parts. I don't think you'll find a better 100 series at this price.

I just sold an 01 LC because of some rust and I wanted an 06+ for the new transmission and more power. Found an 07 470 for a decent price but I ran the carfax and it spent the first 10 years of its life in NY/NJ. I asked the seller about rust and they said “mostly surface rust”. I’d like to look at it but it’s 3 hours drive one way. Hate to get out there and be in a similar boat as my 01
Thoughts on if the rust pictured is anything to worry about? Can’t really tell if it’s been coated underneath, I didn’t think so.
The time has come for us to send our LX on to a new home. We have loved and cared for this vehicle like a member of our family, and we’re grateful for all of the good times it’s given us. We recently purchased our 2018 Land Cruiser, which better suits the stage we’re in with our family. We hope that the next family makes as many memories as we have in it, and we know it will go to the right people.

I traded for this LC then got home to find extensive rust all over the frame (pics included). Its more than I want to deal with and I cant put my family in it. I drove it for nearly 2 hours home and it ran great. Engine is powerful, transmission shifts smooth. All features work except for the antenna. Rear Lockers and ARB Bumper with KC lights are big pluses as I understand it . Im looking to get $5,500 for the whole rig. I'd like to avoid parting out for now.
