My antenna is always down, unless I turn on the rear radio, like discussed above. I use the radio so infrequently, I’ve just been turning on the rear radio when I need the antenna.
Quirky but it works. Having it stuck up all the time was more of a problem - could not drive through the car wash.

Okay so i pulled the trigger on an android 10.1" display. It seems to be working fine and has a decently pretty UI. All the functions seem to be working including the AC controls, power antenna, disc changer, steering wheel buttons, speakers, etc.. If anyone would like to know more, i can make a quick walkthrough video and post some pictures and details. Feeling really happy about the system, feels like the best suv just got better. Fingers crossed for upcoming days !
Can you provide more details around this? What was the specific head unit purchased and specifically does it have the hum noise if any?

I could not get the disc player to fully work. The unit sees the discs that are loaded, but doesn't actually play. Any more pics and details would be appreciated. My install did not go so smooth

I’ve bought my daughter a 07 LX 470 and put the Groom VLine system in and seems to work fine and CS is EXCELLENT! That being said a 16 yr old girl would like a better screen. Would you mind elaborating on what unit you have?
I’m also looking at a 03 LX that has a T’eyes in it and the owner says it works fine. I’m assuming this thread was mainly about the 06/07 LX’s wiring systems and their complexity?
Thanks much
Hey, I own a 2007 LX470 with Mark Levinson in it. Wondering if you had any luck with the Teyes? I currently have a GROM but I’m looking for something more.

Teyes works better in the Lexus as there are no issues with the factory amp. I have an 04 LC and the Teyes has a background hissing sound. Solution is to swap out the OEM JBL amp for an aftermarket, which is detailed in the forums. I have that planned for September.
Otherwise the Teyes works fine with the HVAC and provides Bluetooth and Carplay features. The CD player does not work.

I have a teyes in my 2001 LX with ML system. The AC controls are a little funky and the carplay is a 8/10.
I’ve noticed those that have converted to this are 100% happy with the results and it varies from car to car. I think I’m going to go the route of the single din replacement and try my luck with that

I always tell people it's the best of the terrible options. It's WAY better than the Grom.

Hey cryptk, I installed you hvac app and it seems to control everything, but the on screen buttons to not indicate any input. Meaning tha fan speed doesn’t change number, the temp does change, and the defrost button doesn’t light up. Did I do something wrong? ‘03 lx for reference

Same for me

When I read through that 40 some page regarding the Teyes head unit, there was some discussion with regards to finding out that the rear passenger speakers where not wired so people weren't getting sound from those speakers. Is that still the case? Or did they fix the harness before shipping it out?

The rear speakers in my LX work, but there is no way to control the fade front to back. Balance adjustments can be made left to right, but no adjustments front to back.

Two things
1. The app should still work - it works in my truck, but maybe Teyes changed the firmware and broke it. I'm headed out of town, but can look into this next week, but will need some help from someone with the problem. I'll need to send you a custom version of the app, have you run it and report back, fix it, retest, etc. Anyone up to help out on that? Alternatively, if one of you is a software engineer, the app is open source and you can just debug yourself and submit a pull request!

2. The easiest way to check the rear speakers is to look at the wiring harness pics I posted in that other thread. If the harness wires aren't in the correct position, then you're not getting rear-audio out of the teyes. I suspect that the stock amp might be leaking front speaker signal into the rears and that's why people get sound from the rear but no ability to fade. I have an aftermarket amp that keeps front and rear separate so I was getting zero sound from the rear (until I fixed the harness)

Hope that makes sense!

I hate to ask this, but can you link me to the post with your pictures of where the rear wires should be in the harness? I would like to correct this issue in my truck if possible.
Also thinking about adding a powered sub because the factory sub is not getting it done. I would be curious to see what others have done in conjunction with the Teyes and factory amp.
