Told this guy I would buy the rig if he brought it to the closest toyota dealership to be inspected and I would pay for everything. He said he wouldn't do it because he doesn't have a temp tag for it. Basically asking y'all if you've dealt with him or have heard anything about him. I don't want to get ripped off and it just seems a bit sketchy. Thanks

I bought this truck in January of 2016 as we had 2 kids and needed a big safe truck. Always loved Landcruisers so this was my chance. I’ve had many smaller Toyota’s in the past, pickups and 4Runners. Still have a 1985 4Runner. This is a 2 owner truck. Bought from Shreveport, LA where it was bought new and was dealer serviced and in great shape when I picked it up. I live in Livonia, MI and drove the truck there from LA. The truck spent one winter in Michigan and barely drove in the snow. No rust on this truck. We had a newborn at the time and didn't go out much. We then moved to TN.

1999 Toyota Land Cruiser 4WD
My dilemma is that i looked at a Gray 2000 LC yesterday and i was torn between the condition and the low mileage. 108K miles and the mechanicals were all sound. The undercarriage had rust which had me a little concerned. The front seats need recovered and there was bumper damage front and rear. There was also a small dent forward of the rear passenger side rear wheel well where the running board meets the body.
Seat covers would run 500-600. Undercarriage rust would run a couple of weekends and a lot of elbow grease. Prep and paint of the bumpers and rear quarter panel damage may run 750-1000.
Are the low miles enticing enough to pull the trigger or should i live to fight another day.

Runs out strong and everything works on it as it should. It has 18inch tundra wheels on it currently with new tires. I also have the stock wheels and tires that I will in the sale. I have Slee spacer new in the box as well.
Things I was planning on doing, new timing belt and water pump. It was done about 8 years ago but it’s about that again. Heater tees, I have them brand new in the box with factory houses I just haven’t gotten around to installing them. Has the manifold tick that they all get.

2003 Toyota Land Cruiser Overland 4x4 Rig FULLY BUILT
This is an amazing, fully built 100 series 2003 Land Cruiser that I've owned for over 3 years and has never let me down. I've used it as my daily driver and mild camping rig. I've not even come close to pushing this truck to what it's capable of.
I don't want to ship this rig unless you have someone local who can check it out for you. I want the new owner to love this rig as much as I have, and that starts with seeing it in person.
Truck has no rust, has been in CO the last 3 years and was in Arkansas before that.

I had a great 06 that was mildly built, and like a knucklehead I sold it. I am cruiser-less and it is painful.
I thought about getting a JDM 80 series (I am in Springfield, MO quite often, home of Land Cruisers Direct) but with the cost of the vehicle, and cost to build, I might as well get another 100 series.
Looking for a 03-07, little to no rust, less than 150K miles, in very good shape. If it has some overland goodies (bumpers, lift, sliders) even better.
I live in KC but don't mind travelling for the right vehicle.

I don't know how to evaluate rust on a vehicle. This is a 2007 Connecticut LC with about 130k miles that I am hoping to get for around $17k . How bad is this rust? Buy with confidence or run away?
