Why am I selling?
My wife takes her son (previous marriage) to Layton (120 mile round trip) most weekends and it is costly for her to drive the thirsty LC. Her other options in our fleet would be an 80 series, a 1974 Cj5, or a Porshe 911 turbo. Do you see the problem I have... with cars? My plan is to sell the 100, CJ5, and the 911. I am wanting a 200 series and a gas saver. That is the reason, but feel free to ask more questions.

Helping a buddy sell his truck up in VA. He's not on mud and won't list it locally because he's trying to avoid selling to one particular friend. Long story.
Anyway the truck is clean. Galactic gray exterior, tan guts. Needs timing belt. Everything works. He did mention AHC globes could be tired. For the right price, he's got a set of new ones I gave him that he may sell as well. Front seats are rough, 2nd and 3rd row are perfect. Carpets are nice. He only bought the truck about a month ago but jumped on a deal for a Tundra and decided to have a pick up instead of 4 Cruisers. (He's a life long, serious Land Cruiser nut).

I'm moving back to the states from Australia. Spent the last three years here in the land down under (AKA cruiser heaven). We are stopping off in Orange County for about a week before we plan to drive home to Colorado. We land on Feb 14 and plan to head out Feb 23ish. It's a short window to find a cruiser so I'm reaching out. It will eventually be the wife's car so it needs to be stock, simple and trustworthy. It will be our only car for a while until I can get the funds up to get my own cruiser. Needs a tow hitch. 3 kids, a dog, and 15 suitcases in tow.
I have a few people who can have a look at it for me while I'm still here. Ultimately, I'm putting my trust in this community.

Looking to buy 2006 or 2007 LX470. Found a White/Tan (1) owner 2006 rust free with 170k. Seller is firm at $16,800. Service history looks good overall. Timing belt and water pump are due soon. No accidents reported and everything except for the Auto Climate control work as they should. Heat and A/C work but when AUTO is selected the system does not respond. It was owned for 12 years by a doctor who took very good care of her. I have a small folder of receipts of services dating back quite a while. Full tuneup items, rack and pinion, timing belt and water pump all done within the last 2 years. It runs very well. I am selling my Lexus LX 470. Silver blue, 110K miles, so very low miles for its age. 90K major service was performed on time. Recent oil change, new wipers, and brake pads. Not many miles on Michelin LTX AT tires - all five. I have custom wet okole seat covers on front and second row seats. It is in good shape overall, but there are a few small issues. Body cladding, which is plastic, is starting to lose its clear coat. The hood release handle (under the hood) doesn't work and you have to reach in and pull the catch to open the hood. Also, Lexus vehicles come with a special gear to make steering easier, the system is called VSGR, and that is not working on this truck.
