in TN, at just under 200,000. I've replaced some things such as: a new
radiator, hoses, alternator, cap wires, plugs, fuel pump, new clutch
master cylinder, front rotors and pads, and a new battery last month.
I've set the valves and changed all the fluids, and kept the
oil/filter changed. It's been a very good vehicle for us and runs very
strong. The factory carburetor runs great and starts when cold or hot
with no hesitation. The tires are 7.00x15 and perfect for driving
through snow and mud. We are farmers and the previous owner was as
well, so it's not perfect, but complete. The interior is clean...

I have decided to sell my 1990 2nd Gen 2 door 4runner to fund my fj40 project. Asking $4000. I am in Pittsburgh PA however the truck came from Arizona and the frame is completely rust free, and in this area is very hard to come by. The only rust was body above the exhaust, I have cut that all out and welded in metal to fix it. I have put a slightly newer engine in it when I bought it the owner over heated it and ruined the heads and block. It has new all terrain tires and brakes are around 8/32 inspected 2/17. I love my truck to death, but sadly I have come to the realization that I need a backseat more than I had originally thought. I have always loved the first gen 4runners, but they were harder to come by in my area so I decided to get the truck instead (thinking I would rarely need a backseat). 1985 Toyota 4Runner SR5 for Sale. Runs great, is in really good shape and only has 74k miles. 5 speed Manual with 22re engine. This truck is loaded to the teeth with options, is the first year of electronic fuel injection and last year of the solid axle. I've done my best to keep it mostly original and get compliments on it regularly. As I'm sure you all know it's rare to find a 4Runner of this age, in this good of shape and with this low of mileage. Starts every time, and shifts smoothly. I drive it 70 miles round trip 3-4 times per week.
Bad:
Radio is there, but previous owner replaced door panels that do not have speakers in them.
Rust in the usual places above wheel wells, see pics, but nothing has eaten through just yet. Can be fixed.
Front seats dont match.
AC does not work.
Rear bumper is bent.
It's on ebay now, and advertised locally. I'd rather one of you guys that can take it to the next level buy it and send me pictures :)

im the third owner, it's a 1997 3.4L automatic 4wd limited 2 tone red and grey.
315k miles don't be scared it still drives like new! Don't believe me? Come drive it!
truck is in great shape just small oil leak off lower front cover. Already bought front seal and timing belt kit (will come with the truck if I don't get to it first). It's due for its next one at 320k anyway.
Pros: leather is in decent shape, sunroof, power windows all work. Has roof rack with crossbars, 4wd with center and rear lockers! Good brakes, 1 yr old tires, drives like a new one! Rust free!
Cons: paint on hood and above windshield is faded from Arizona sun, it's next t belt is due at 320k (semi big job), small leak (see above)

Up for sale is my 1997 Toyota 4Runner 4X4 with 169k on the clock, this truck is my take the kids to school bus for a while now and I am in need of a 3rd row seat. I need room for more kids. This truck has never been off the road except to take these pictures. My parents live on a gravel road and every other month I would operate the 4WD to keep everything greased. This truck has no differed maintenance and is clean like new. My kids have never eaten in it. This 3rd gen 4Runner is the last year with the desirable full manual transfer case and the older style brake booster so no $3,000 surprises like the newer ones. All work comes with receipts and proof only Toyota OEM parts are on this truck.
