After years of owning different trucks, broncos, scramblers, etc. I've finally settled on the 1st gen 4runner as my favorite and one to keep long term.
I recently bought an excellent original example of this board with a 22re and Automatic. Top and sunroof are off and stored, and I really love the truck. Only issue is that I really want a 5 speed. Diesel conversion would be nice as well!
Throwing this out there to see if anyone is interested in a trade, looking for an Automatic. There are only a few other trades I might consider - Defender Tdi, Troopy, BJ40, or 1st gen Jimmy/Blazer, 4 door jeep JK. I need something that the top comes off of, can fit 4 safely, and handle a 4 bike carrier on the back.

I will start out with I bought this truck in 2009 with 9500 miles on it. It was a "soft" rollover from a winter accident. It sustained pretty much sheet metal damage, but enough that it was salvaged. The frame and mechanical parts had no damage at all nor was there any major cab or interior damage. In fact the windshield was the only glass broken and no airbags deployed.
With that said it has a NY salvage title, so just want to be upfront about that.

have decided to put my 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 up for sale. The car is an SSL so it has the black leather interior and power sunroof. I originally bought the car from an insurance auction here in Georgia. The car was hit in the passenger side rear quarter, and the car did have a salvage title. I had the car professionally repaired and then inspected by the state highway patrol and now has a rebuilt title. When I recieved the car I dropped the oil pan and pulled the valve cover to check the condition of the engine, my findings were astonishing. he odometer said 128,000 miles yet the inside of the motor looked brand new. The head even had HKS cams, ARP headstuds, and unknown springs and retainers.I have daily driven this car...
My buddy wants an FJ40. He has this pick up to trade. It is from AZ so it has very little rust issues. The frame is clean. The passenger inside door bottom has a small rust hole and the right rear lower corner of the cab has three small rust bubbles, that's it. The driver and passenger floors has surface rust only.
It has a Chevy 350 and auto transmission.
It runs and drives great.
He values it at a solid $8,000 so he is looking for an FJ40 of equal value. It is located just outside of Boston, MA.

Truck was painted in the original golden color by Freds Autobody in Melbourne, Fl. Paint job is flawless with no rust whatsoever on the whole body and anti chip paint in the lower part of the panels.
