Hi all, After suspending my cruiser search a few years back, I'm back on the bandwagon. This time, I have full approval from the Mrs. I'm looking for a lightly mod-ed, or stock 62, 80, or 100 series rig near Central Arkansas. This will be my DD for now... with upgrades/mods to come in the future. I'd look at a 60, but my wife will have to back it out of the drive on occasion and her + manual tranny = disaster. I'd prefer a clean, low mileage rig... but who wouldn't:D? Lockers would be a plus. My budget is $15k, but that would be primarily for a 100 series. I'd max out at about $8k for an 80/62. What say ye?

I just put about 3,000 in parts into this Jeep. It's a solid runner, and It's going to go for a long time. It has several functional upgrades. The Jeep is a great wheeler, and is very good off road. I'm on the hunt for a lightly/moderately mod’ed, or stock 80 series rig near the SW Michigan area(within 3-4hrs, give or take). Or, in a pinch, a clean 4Runner. This will be my daily driver, as well as all weather fun/recce vehicle. Likely she’ll see some mod’s in the future.
I'd prefer a clean, low’ish mileage rig. She should be up for a road trip, ski/snowboard, or surf trip at the drop of a hat. And preferably have a good service history, with recipts etc. Lockers would be a plus. Ditto on spare parts, & or wheels & tires etc.
Function & reliability trumps pretty, bottom line.
My budget is $8k-10k tops, though I wouldn’t mind something a touch less expensive. Thanks in advance J

Bright red/tan exterior has only minor cosmetic flaws while the tan interior is super clean. SLE trim level gives you all the necessary creature comforts like: Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, AM/FM/Cass/CD, Rear Air Conditioning, Rear Wiper, Privacy Glass and much more. Brand new top end that has been de-smogged. I did keep all the smog equipment if you want to put it back. I sent the carb. & dizzy to JimC the Toyota Land Cruiser master on Mud for a de-smog carb and dizzy rebuild.
Since it is de-smogged….must register the truck in a non-emission county.

Well it is time to sell my 1986 Hj60. I’ve owned it for around five years now. It has been in my shop for two and a half years with the number six piston out of it. We recently moved so I found a good motor for the truck and put it back on the road, however with three cruisers and down 600 sqft of shop space something has to give. The PO of the truck was a professional from Toronto Canada that had everything done at the dealer, me on the other hand my pockets aren’t that deep, and have done all the work myself. In person it doesn't look as good as the photos. The current owner (second) hasn't done much maintenance except oil changes at Jiffy lube. I'd budget a couple of grand to bring this one up to OCD standards of 'Mud.

According to PO and my selective memory. Orig owner kept it through mid 2000's in garage. 2nd owner bought it drove it and stored it outside a couple years, PO bout it, put in gears, tires etc and kept it a few years. Wheeled it a couple times. I bought it from him. I haven't ran a Carfax and didn't want to after cranking the engine and driving it. Quiet, smooth, like stepping back in time.
