hell yeahI think seeing your build updates inspired me... I bought a 1977 F-250 crew cab 2wd today. Rust free, but totally disassembled. Perfect to swap on a SD chassis. Haven't done a project this big in a very long time

parents/shop are in jones county, a little north of macon. solid inch or two and the roads are even safeJealous of the snow and love the progress!
Whereabouts in Georgia? We’re up north and nothing here. Seems south got it all…
Really nice to find shop that does good work at a fair price these days.driveline service atl got this knocked out in under one business day. if anyone is in the area and needs driveshaft work, mark killed it. above all else, the price was INCREDIBLY fair. hoping to get them in and tested this weekend!

What year Galaxy and what’s the overall plan ?finally got to use the truck a little. dragged out my galaxie to start work. does this count as a barn find?

lots more parts on one of these... took all weekend but it is totally torn down and ready for body work. fortunately it only needs a little bit of rust repair in the trunk - my goal is to get this one painted quickly and on the road to enjoy but we know how that goes.

Oh sweet! The '64 Galaxie is my all time favorite early 60s big body sleeper rod, only the 64 has those lines. I've actually considered (briefly) selling my 62 to get into one.finally got to use the truck a little. dragged out my galaxie to start work. does this count as a barn find?

White on red is the teets for the Galaxie! Are you going to start a new thread?ya know i haven't really gotten that far. i will be painting it wimbledon white coincidentally. picked the color before i even bought the f250, plus i have almost a whole gallon left over that i refuse to let go to waste. i'm a big fan of white on red so that's probably the direction i'll go.
my original plan was to just do body work, paint it, and enjoy it but... the body comes off of the frame so easily and i already have a dolly... and a friend who could have the frame sand blasted in an hour. you see where this is going. current thoughts are to put the body on a dolly and paint it, have the frame blasted, do a little reinforcing/suspension work, and paint it in a decent two-part frame paint. the 289 in this thing is dog tired - i'm talking absolutely will not pull the car unless it's warm - so i'll likely put a pretty plain 351w in it for the time being. the goal is really to have a respectable cruiser and see where i want to take it from there instead of going straight to complex engine swap/frame swap like i did on the f250.
i probably should huh. i'll make some more progress and decide if it deserves its own thread. funny that i use mud as a Ford forum.White on red is the teets for the Galaxie! Are you going to start a new thread?
