Recently imported 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ61V 4x4. It is a turbo diesel with the 12H-T engine (inline 6, 4 liter) It has an automatic transmission that shifts strong and through all gears. There is a PTO winch from the factory. It has Rancho RS9000 shocks (2.75" lift) on 35" BF Good rich tires and 15" Deerfield wheels. I just put 2 brand new interstate batteries in it. Had a plane ticket to buy a 5 speed in CO Springs and the guy said he was holding it for me... but someone else came along and offered the guy more so he sold it the day before I was supposed to fly out. Ugh. If you're like me, you know how hard it is to get your wife on board with you to buy your dream car, and then someone takes a crap on your dreams. So now that my pity party rant is done, if anyone knows of a RR FJ60 5 speed please let me know! Up for sale is my 1987 FJ60. I bought this off the original family that bought it new. I recently purchased it and have been fixing it up. The body is all original and is in overall good shape for its age. It has the original paint and it does not look like its ever been fixed or touched. The only main issue is the rear lower quarters. They can be repaired very easily but I honestly would rather sell it like it is so the new buyers know exactly what they are getting with no surprises. There are a couple other small spots on the rockers and quarters around the fender well, but they don’t appear to be very bad. Some of which is only surface. This is a 1986 Land Cruiser bult for moderate rock crawling and expedition travel and has been all over western North America. It comes with a GM 350 TBI motor (zero time motor from the GM dealership) about 62,000 miles ago. Transmission is a zero time Toyota H55F 5 speed sourced out of Australia (the US TLC got only a four speed for reasons no one seems to know) The H55F has the first 3 gears lower than the four speed. The differential gears have been upgraded to 4:11 ratio to provide better drivability with larger tires (33/12.5/15) and new transmission. This cruiser is pretty nice, unmolested. There is rust in the rear gutters and drivers side A pillar with some bondo in the back passenger 1/4 panel. It appears to have been repainted all-over. Originally purchased in Portland, the lower spots didn't have the rust one would expect. The frame looked very solid and all the original smog equipment was there. Hello Mud members, Unfortunately i have decided to sell my Fj60. I have decided to go a different route. This truck is a RUST FREE!! truck. It has 225,000 miles it has no rust whats so ever. I have looked up down and all around. Still no sign of rust. the Paint is rough as it was sitting in Las Vegas for a few years. At the time i purchased it the interior was shot and i mean shot. Since i have brought it home to Cali i have done some work to it. the first thing i did was replace the interior on this truck from the dash,seats,door panels,and carpet, all from a donor truck from the east coast.
