Hi folks, not mine, simply posting for the owner to see if there was any interest. I don't know much about the truck but a few minor details are below. Reply to this post with questions and I'll relay them to the owner or check it out myself the next time I see it. It may be a day or 2 before I can respond but check back ;-) ~250K miles - Stock (that i know of) except for light grey aftermarket seats (may be coverings) - Some body rust in the typical locations but unsure of the severity. I've known this truck for about a year and in that time she hasn't had any issues to speak of. Brake job was done probably a year ago. It cranks right up and seems to run good. I believe service has been performed by Toyota. ~$7000 is the...
Hi Guys - Just thought I'd post here as a last resort. I have an 84, it's slightly rough around the edges with a little rust but was a great driver until I had to park it for a coolant hose issue that I didn't have time or will to fix. This truck needs to go ASAP. I'm moving and the house is being staged in order to be sold. If it doesn't sell to someone in the next few days I'm likely just going to have a junker come and pick it up. It's too nice for the yard but everyone that comes to look at it expects a $4000-5000 value when I'm asking $1000. Really frustrating. *** it will need to be towed, the registration is not current and the truck does not hold coolant for a good period of time*** $1000 All details on the CL Post...
Hi everyone, this if my first ever post and unfortunately not the one I thought I would be writing. Long story short is that I purchased an blue 1987 FJ60 not just under a month ago on the advice of a friend that was a very capable if not expert Cruiser mechanic. I was very excited to get to work start on my first Cruiser with his guidance when he sadly passed away unexpectedly not a week and a half after it was brought home. After considering what to do I have just decided to sell it and move on since I just don't see myself enjoying and learning the process without him and his expertise around. Point is that I'd still like to see this truck get a good home, but I don't really know where to start since It had never even occurred to...
This is a 1986 Land Cruiser bult for moderate rock crawling and expedition travel and has been all over western North America. It comes with a GM 350 TBI motor (zero time motor from the GM dealership) about 62,000 miles ago. Transmission is a zero time Toyota H55F 5 speed sourced out of Australia (the US TLC got only a four speed for reasons no one seems to know) The H55F has the first 3 gears lower than the four speed. The differential gears have been upgraded to 4:11 ratio to provide better drivability with larger tires (33/12.5/15) and new transmission. Transfer case was rebuilt at the time of transmission install. The combination of all the regearing and tire size has ironically resulted in a speedo that is (at least nearly) dead on...

1985 FJ60; Chevy Small Block, H55F Trani, Price Reduced!!!
Rig would be best suited for a state with loose emissions standards. This is an awesome truck. Life circumstances are forcing me to sell it at a reduced price. I bought it a year ago fro 8,000. Based on how expensive a conversion can be, I felt 8,000 was a decent price. I've put about 500 miles since I bought it. No one seems to be interested in the rig for 8,000 so I'm reducing the price. I think 6,000 is a steal. Call me: 347.671.3996, Misha I'm selling my FJ60 Land Cruiser. The engine and transmission have been swapped. It has a carbureted Chevy 350 from a Camaro mated to a H55F transmission. Two optima batteries. Big aluminum radiator with an over sized gas tank. Over sized front tubular bumper. I did not build the car up, the...
Hello all, I've been reading the threads ever since my friend introduced me to his FJ40 about 2 months ago and to make a long story short, the FJ60; FJ62 are two vehicles that are unique and have really caught my attention. Just about two weeks ago my 2003 Tahoe z71 was stolen from my office and has yet to be recovered, I'm still in shock and miss it dearly (Single owner, meticulously maintained, perfect interior and 140k miles). With this being said, I've begun my intensive search for a mostly original FJ60 or FJ62. Price; originality is important to me. I would like to also get the forum's opinion on what a reliable daily driver would cost today? My commute is about 20 miles (no highway). I was thinking about buying something with...

Due to a relocation we are getting rid of our 1990 FJ-62. It has been in our driveway for 9 years and will be a project for restoration or for parts. My goal is to find a useful alternative for it other than a crusher. Forum guys suggest 2-3k max for it but I am willing to listen to reasonable offers. My daughter has put up an IMGUR library (link below) but I will try to take and post pictures today. http://imgur.com/a/kgJK7 Mileage is 156,070. Thanks for your consideration and I hope I can find a way to let her roam a little bit longer. Joe
1989 FJ62 near Birmingham, AL 182k/mi $6,500 obo
Here's a link to my CL ad: http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/5023541421.html For sale is a very nice running & driving 1989 FJ62 Toyota Landcruiser. I'm torn about selling because I've wanted this exact FJ for a l-o-n-g time but due to life's weird timing and circumstances it needs to go. Price: $6,000 Year: 1989 Color: Beige Metallic Make: Toyota Model: FJ62 Landcruiser Wagon/SUV Tranmission: Automatic/4x4 Mileage: 182,000 Very few of these trucks were made & shipped to the US. This automatic is a variant of the FJ60 series and was made & sold for only (3) years in the US (1988-1990). These iconic trucks have a long history of reliability. They are also known for their off-road capabilities... I'm assuming you already know that...
1986 FJ60 5.3L, Auto, ARB's & Much More!
1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 Very clean Land Cruiser, body is Monsta-Lined, great for the trail and super easy to clean. The minimal amount of rust it had was cut out, replaced with good metal and fiberglassed over before liner was applied. The rear frame channels have been cleaned and copious amounts of POR 15 applied, frame and body are rust free. Doors seal up nice and tight with the Wagongear door seals and the windows/doors are all functional as expected. The interior is in great shape with no tears in the seats, the dash has a very small crack, and I have put a Dash Mat over it to preserve the quality of the dash. The Vortec 5.3L is a pleasure to drive, I have spent an extensive amount of time with 208 Motorsports tuning the...
Up for sale is this 1984 toyota landcruiser. Due to life changes I am forced to sell it. All in all I've only had it about 2 months and it has been a blast. It is truly a vehicle that can go just about anywhere you feel like taking it. Of course, a vehicle that can rummage through the woods like an elephant, it isn't exactly a show stopper. However it is a great runner and driver, loaded with fantastic features, and has some horses to boot! Some of those features include: -Chevy 350 swap "with a rebuild 15k miles ago" (the engine feels smooth and runs great so I'm bound to believe it) -Old Man Emu suspension lift with grease-able shackles -Steel bumpers front with a winch that works and rear with a swing-away rear tire mount and full...
Hey, i'm pretty interested in getting a FJ60 or 62. I do not want to spend more then $7,000 and have cash. Am interested as soon as possible. Ive seen a few floating around craigslist, but none that stand out for the price they are asking. looking for decent exterior condition, good maintenance history, strong running, any color, and reliable. I plan on daily driving it for a little until i get around to something else as a daily. thanks, Mason
I am hoping you guys could help me out! I am looking for a 60 in or around the Seattle regiond for 7k range. I have been stalking this forum for a while and after endless nights of cruising C-List my wife has asked that I just find one and pull the trigger. I really like the silver but I am really looking for something with min. rust. This is because I am not welder/body repair savey. Thanks in advance for any help locating a good first project rig.
