for sale 19990 fj62.... Title in hand . 296k miles...does not smoke. Leaks oil from main seals as do most of these models. I recovered it from the tow yard and replaced the missing parts to get her back on the road. I had sold her two years ago and the owner sold without transferring title...the next owner stripped it of some parts and left it abandoned. She runs and drives great. Kept1983 (3B) engine, transfer case and 5 speed transmission. These were transferred into a 1986 gas body from Montana.

Well, I sure will hate to see it go, but its time to part ways with my favorite truck.
Body and frame are from a 1985 FJ60 which came from California and is completely rust free.
Drivetrain is from a 1987 HJ60 diesel which I imported from Canada several years ago.
The engine was rebuilt after I imported the diesel and I put about 25,000 miles on the engine in the original body.
This thing is in great condition and is ready to run for years and years to come.
Body and frame were separated when the diesel swap was performed and an undercoating was applied to the frame to prevent rust. As is, it has never seen winter roads or salt.
Comes with 33x12.5 dick cepek mud country tires which are nearly new.

Answer - after driving it back from portland, i had my local diesel shop check it out and found we needed to rebuild the transfer case, rebuild the steering box and other misc stuff. $4k later it was back on the road. later i had the alternator replaced, $700 i am back at it. i have all of the receipts from my repairs and a folder of documents from Lukas.

Truck is located in Seattle Wa. Has the normal rust in the wheel well and lift gate. Nothing visible from the outside. Frame is rust free and the body is straight and looks great. I know I’m going to regret this but I’m putting my 1987 Toyota FJ60 Landcruiser up for sale. I’ve had her for 2.5 years and put about 17K miles on her.

This is an 89 FJ62 in great condition. some denting on front bumper and front quarter panel.Interior is in real nice condition with less then typical wear and tear. Low mile truck for the year. I finally moved back to the states, but now i must part with these as living stateside had become more expensive than ive grown accustomed to.
Both are white 1988 FJ62s.
The first is in extremely good shape, "mintwagon". almost all the original pieces are there, toolkit, hub covers, etc. it is missing the passenger side floor mat and i replaced the original retractable antenna with a hard one to avoid getting it destroyed at the car wash. it has new tires, new rear main seal, new oil pan gasket, perfect original seats. there is a little surface rust under around the battery area in the engine compartment. it could use a tune up, probably new shocks and bushings and a new tailpipe...

currently in the process of selling my 04 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in order to purchase an FJ60 or FJ62. I'm looking for something that's in daily driver condition.
I'm not too picky on color, but I would like the interior to be very clean. Restoration level isn't necessary, but something that has potential to be improved on in the future. Cold A/C is a must.
Looking for something in the 8-12k range, but could go higher if it's the vehicle is in immaculate mechanical condition. I want this vehicle for the long haul, but don't have the time or resources right now to do engine or transmission fixes.

Long time reader here. Recently decided to sell my '85 FJ60, and I thought that I'd let you guys know before I put it on Craigslist. I'm the second owner, and it has 95,4xx original miles. I bought it last March from an older gentleman who used it as his work truck. Located about 20 minutes north of Atlanta, GA. I've put about 3,000 miles on it since I bought it, and have done the following:
-Replaced tires with brand new 32" BFG A/Ts.
-Replaced belts
-Synthetic oil
-Replaced fuel hose
-Rust removal/bondo on tailgate (not pretty, but a solid repair)
-Primed/painted areas around base (once again, not professional, but gets the job done).
