For Sale: GREASY RIDER. TOYOTA LAND CRUISER. Turning 30 years old this September!!! Dirty on the outside, greasy on the inside.... 1986 HJ60. 6 cylinder automatic. If you want this truck I will drive it to Bellingham if you get my ferry... 342,000 KM and going strong. Had it compression tested a year ago before replacing the entire cooling system, and it is perfect. It'll go 100 000 kms before it needs a rebuild. There is NO backseat. I gutted it after an oil spill in the truck. The veggie oil storage tank is located IN the truck, allowing you to start up and shut down on diesel as per normal, or just run straight diesel if for whatever reason you can't find veggie oil---only happened to me once in five years that I had to fill...
NOVA 1985 FJ60 RUSTY

Rust rocker panels. de smogged, won't pass VA emissions of you live north of stafford so it's registered antique. I love driving and wheeling this beast but I also have an 80...
1986 FJ60 - SF Bay Area *Sale Postponed*
***Sale of the truck is being postponed indefinitely awaiting smog related repairs*** The time is finally here for me to move on to the next truck. I don't really want to sell it, but with a long commute and a desire to do more long distance travel, my 60 just isn't what I need right now. Sort of interesting that this is also my 1,000th post here on IH8MUD... The previous owner was a BMW Master Tech and went through and did some preventative maintenance that included a partial engine re-seal and a refreshed cylinder head among other things. He also installed the OME/4+ 4" lift with shackle reversal and 33x12.5 BFG A/T's. The truck currently has 211,000 miles on it, with the original drivetrain. Asking $12,000. I got this truck...
Ok, here is the situation. I have an 80 that I have built over the last few years and its to the point where its way overdone for my current life situation. We had our first baby last year, and have another on the way. My wife has been driving the 80 while I take her car to school/work and she isnt a huge fan of the 37" tires and protruding rock sliders when she is trying to get the car seat in. Here is a link I have with a few old pics, the build list is extensive and I will provide info for interested parties. I have also done tons of recent pm. 226,xxx miles, original HG to my knowledge, rear aussie locker, 5.29's, 37"s etc. Located in Alamo city. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/built-80-for-stockish-40-san-antonio.761128/

SOLD I'm reviving this thread as a possible job relocation has given me impetus to move this project rig as I have no time or inclination to move it cross country. I'll post pics and as complete a list of parts I have on hand, I'd like to sell everything as one lot but I might consider selling individual parts out of my spares. I don't have the space or time to part out the LC . Runs and drives, standard rusty spots in the rear quarters, rockers, roof rails and front windshield. No leaks at this time, windshield does have a 5" crack from a rock ding. I have the clean sheet metal from a Texas donor vehicle (Cruiser Yard) to repair the rear quarters and rockers if you're so inclined. The frame was sandblasted and repaired in the rear...
(CO) 1988 FJ62: Great body, rust free, V8, ARB locked, FF rear
1988 FJ62. 222k miles This Land Cruiser is a straight, rust-free Arizona vehicle. I purchased it in Phoenix in April 2014 and drove it back to Colorado. As far as I know, it has never seen snow or treated roads. I do not drive it in winter or crappy weather. Frame and axles are free of rust or rot and only have mild patina. No body rust whatsoever. Just a few rock chips in the front lower valence, otherwise, she's a 'beaut! Recently re-sprayed in factory white. There is no rust or bondo anywhere on the truck. The drivetrain has been swapped to a TBI 350 & 700r4 automatic from a 1994 Chevy mated to the stock Toyota transfer case. I was told by the previous owner that the engine/tranny only had 60k miles, but I have no...

1988 FJ62 with 5.3 Vortec 4L60E conversion
The truck for sale is my daily driver and has been since I bought it in 2008. I had it converted to the 5.3 Vortec soon after I drove it home from St. Louis Mo. I realized my original Toyota motor with 240000 miles was spent and underpowered. The prospect of rebuilding a 160 HP (at most) straight 6 engine versus a 300 HP V8 conversion for the same costs made my decision for me. The engine that is in it now is a 2003 Vortec which came with it's original transmission; a 4L60E from a wrecked truck with low miles. It has performed great. I've driven it every day for 5 or 6 years. It has a transmission maximizer kit from TCI that makes the 2nd shift rather strong. In other words, it will bark the 33 's going into 2nd gear if you aren't...
1988 FJ62 with 5.3 Vortec 4L60E conversion, Florida/USA
This is the second thread on my truck, the other thread stopped working?? Anyway, for those who saw the other thread, don't let this confuse you. It's the same red 88 FJ62 with the 5.3 Vortec in it. I'm going to provide a youtube video via email to anyone interested. The price is $3800 firm and the reason it's set that low is there's some rust spots around a few windows and the drip edge on the roof. I've treated them with Ospho and sealed them with epoxy as a measure to stop the spread. These spots aren't necessarily pretty, but they can be repaired and made right with a little effort with a sanding block. These spots are all approximately the size of nickels or smaller. There's 230,000 miles on the chassis and maybe 80 to a 100,000...

1990 FJ62 88,000 Original Miles
1990 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 Only 88,000 original miles Runs great Automatic, power windows & locks Remote start currently on the road; registered, inspected, and driven regularly I am the second owner. It sat in a barn for about 10 years before I purchased it 3 years ago 4 wheel drive works great Has typical landcruiser rust in fenders Interior is excellent except for drivers seat which has a rip Will need exhaust work in near future. $3,700
My wife and I are buying a new home, so I'm Selling my 1989 Land Cruiser. This is the second FJ62 I've owned. When I first joined the forum, I had a very rusty FJ62 that taught me a ton about these trucks. I sold it and bought another FJ62 that had minimal rust. So, my truck has 230K miles, automatic transmission, power package. Clear title in-hand, priced at $4,200 (negotiable) as the factory clear-coat paint is pealing this will need a sand/paint job. The truck runs strong and the 4x4 works flawlessly. It's not 100% perfect and does need a few things cosmetically, it has a few small surface rust spots and one rust spot in the front quarter panel that has been treated with Navel Jelly. 1983 FJ60 in Los Angeles
I have a 1983 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60 for sale. We have $14k++ into this vehicle. I am asking $8,000. My girlfriend bought this car up in Oregon in 2004, she used it as a daily driver until moving to San Francisco six years ago. After being stored for a few years we brought it down to California to begin a restoration. We have thus far done A LOT of work but at this point, circumstances have changed and we can no longer pursue the remaining items in this restoration. I have listed the work we have done thus far and also provided a list of remaining items. We recently had the team at TLC 4x4/ICON do a full inspection so this “pending item” list should be fairly comprehensive. The price for something like this is hard to determine so I...
