1987 Toyota Land Cruiser (FJ60)
Located in Houston Texas.
This is a 1982 HJ60 that I legally imported from Australia. It is licensed in Washington State. Original 6 cylinder 2H engine with 197,000 KM on it. It has ambulance doors in the back & Aussie slider windows. DC power outlets in the back for camping. Original split rim wheels that I got powder coated. Newish tires. I also got the back bumper and the custom roo bar powder coated to match the wheels. I spent a couple years restoring it. All rust was cut out with new metal welded in. Repainted inside and out with automotive paint to original 003 Toyota White. I coated the floor inside with Monsta Liner, tinted to match, which makes it quieter. The paint job is not show car quality, but it looks nice and will keep the rust away...
I am looking for a mechanically sound '84 FJ60 for my daily driver in Colorado. Budget is tight at around $5,500. I'm okay with a cruiser that is rough cosmetically as long as it is mechanically sound, not a rust bucket, and can be registered in CO/pass emissions. My very first carewas a stock '84 FJ60. I loved that truck and wish I never sold it!
I am open to considering other years of the FJ60 (manual with 2F), or a sweet deal on an 80 or 100.

Overall the rig looks fairly tough, runs good, devours trails and daily drives like the beast that it is...
Sure does seem pricey for what it is, but with the crazy prices i have seen lately, maybe not? - I don't know but too rich for my blood. This guy seems a bit evasive - not sure what is up, but something in the wood pile is smoking, and it isn't the crack pipe!

Secondly, I am currently looking for a cruiser of my own. Been a long time fan of these trucks and it's time to finally get one.
Year 83-87 with relatively low miles, no rust and a good interior. I'd prefer if it wasn't modified to all heck, but simple mods like a lift/grill would be fine.

How many FJ60’s can be left in the world with this low mileage and great condition!
There is a lot of history and description of the truck from the previous owner which I’ve listed below under “Previous Owner Advertisement Notes”. In addition, I’ve done the following:
Tires replaced November 2013 (2K miles ago) with BFG All Terrain 33-1250R.
Pulled head and cleaned all upper engine, resurfaced mating surfaces, adjusted valves, reassembled with new gaskets.
Installed new fan clutch and belts.
Checked A/C and recharge.
Replaced Temperature sensor and calibrated gauge.

A little hot rodded- P-pumped 4BT with intercooler, Ranger torque splitter (27% OD) Final double overdrive is .62:1, H55F Yota 5 spd. Basically 10 forward gears and 2 reverse gears. Twin sticks, New SpeedHut dual/quad gauges, custom interior. Pioneer CD player, JBL speaker 4:56 gears. Full float rear as well. Less than 7K miles on the rebuilt 4BT, years of fun left in it.

First off, I do not want to sell this and am willing to trade. I need the money as I've been out of work for several months, my back is against the wall on this, coupled with a life change which requires a DD that will fit all the kiddos. I am not willing to take this back to the great white north, it'd be a shame. First regestered new in 1996 with 96k miles. No accidents, per carfax and none during my ownership. It had some issues that I posted about here on mud and have been resolved by Camelback Toyota (CBT) in Phoenix, Thanks Murf. It does still have a mild intake leak which Aastro here in Tucson will resolve this week (paid them $1200 already).
