This is a 1982 HJ60 that I legally imported from Australia. It is licensed in Washington State. Original 6 cylinder 2H engine with 197,000 KM on it. It has ambulance doors in the back & Aussie slider windows. DC power outlets in the back for camping. Original split rim wheels that I got powder coated. Newish tires. I also got the back bumper and the custom roo bar powder coated to match the wheels. I spent a couple years restoring it. All rust was cut out with new metal welded in. Repainted inside and out with automotive paint to original 003 Toyota White. I coated the floor inside with Monsta Liner, tinted to match, which makes it quieter. The paint job is not show car quality, but it looks nice and will keep the rust away. Upgraded sound system: cd player with aux input & 2 new speakers in the back. In the last few years, I've replaced the water pump & thermostat, the brake master cylinder, and the clutch. I installed a lower radiator hose heater to keep it warm in the winter. Installed KC Spotlights on the roo bar. Has a tow hitch and wiring works. Comes with a Wilderness roof rack. Everything is in good working condition except the AC. PO had it switched over to run modern coolants, but it needs some work. I'm not sure what.

I'm selling it because I have a 16 year old kid who needs a car and the maternal instinct part of my brain is telling me she needs stuff like airbags. The rest of my brain is telling me that this is like having to cut my own arm off. It's not, but still: ouch.

$16,000. Not interested in trades.

Thanks! You kind of either get RHD or 24 volt. IMHO, RHD is the better choice. Actually, it's not that hard to get used to. The worst part is that the turn signal and the windshield wipers are switched. And I constantly try to get in on the wrong side of my other vehicles.:steer:

Beautiful rig and love the photos! Where are you located? Looks like SE Washington. I have family in WW and will be heading over later this fall. If you still have it I would love to come take a closer look. We are in PDX.

Cheers

Isn't that basically just like driving one large airbag?! Keep it....let her drive it. The only thing that is going to get hurt is her (and your) feelings! Just my two cents. Great looking rig. I got an FJ60 for my daughter for her first rig. She drove it until she decided she wanted a Tacoma pickup last year...so I got it back :) And anyone who doesn't want it because it is RHD is crazy....after you drive RHD for awhile you will love it.

You have a point there! TBH, I worry about boys dating her so they can take my truck off-roading ; )

She's actually is kinda pissed at me for selling it. I'm kinda pissed at me for selling it, but it's the grownup thing to do. Being a grownup is lame!

Such a beautiful rig! Its literally all I would want in an FJ. (Super partial to white too)

Watched all the video and can tell its been very well maintained. Too bad we're on opposite sides of the country but, would be a hell of a fun roadtrip. :) so tempting. So, so, tempting.
