Built 80 for 40
Looking to trade my 80 for a 40 series. One owner. I’d drive it across the country tomorrow. I built this rig back in 2004. Never let me and my family down. Starts, runs and tracks well. Maintenance is up to date. I have two binders on the truck, every service invoice right back to the window sticker. It’s got 5 brand new 35” Goodyear mud terrains, OME lift with spacers up front for the square stance. Warn 12k winch with internal control buttons. Hella 1000 rally lights (vintage/working). Bullet proof pesky heater hose upgrade. CDL dash button. Built in sliding tool/gear drawers with walnut trim. A/C dryer protection plate, transfer case skid plate, rhino lined frame mounted sliders, tire swing rear bumper (IPOR). Fully armored...
$29,000 1977 FJ40 with PakiTop Great Condition
This was restored(non frame off) in 2008 and have only driven it less than 200 miles. It has a rebuilt engine with 10,000 miles on it. Purchased it in California. 90% original. Haven't driven it in rain or snow since I have owned it. The only issue is the back zipper won't close as I didn't close it during the winter and the canvas shrunk a little. Also, the interior passenger door handle needs to be replaced, but works fine.

Cookeville, Tennessee: 1970 FJ40 $3000 *SOLD*
Looking at selling my 1970 FJ40 project so I can focus on other projects. Not really sure what it's worth so asking for some opinions. Update: Had some interest so I decided to put a price on it. Has original complete drivetrain. No major rust (few small holes in the pan). I have a much nicer and complete instrument cluster that goes with it. I also have a 4 speed that goes with it. Have a clear TN title (somewhere). I also have an original rear bench seat for it that's in pretty good shape (no rips/tears; just some surface rust on the legs. You can kind of see it in the pictures). Engine is not seized. Was running/driving when parked (~10 yrs ago?) Thanks for looking and any opinions given.
Graham, Texas: 1970 FJ40
The time has come to sell our 1970 FJ40. We love this rig but our family is growing and we are finding the FJ40 has become impractical for us and we drive our FJ60 much more frequently, so we have decided to sell it and put the money towards something else. Short description: recently rebuilt 2F, spring over with stock springs, front disc brakes, front and rear ARB lockers, ARB compressor, SM465, OEM style soft top and bows, rebuilt axles, brakes, transmission, and transfer case. Many new parts. Original patina'd paint. Runs great, reliable, goes anywhere. Lots of spare parts included. $30,000. Serious offers considered. No trades. TN preferred, but willing to travel: FJ40 roller with a solid tub
Found one, thanks everyone. Alright folks, I have a 1976 FJ40 I just finished installing a freshly rebuilt 3B/H55 and doing a 60 series power steering conversion on. Well, about a month ago I had someone pull out in front of us, and me and my daughter ended up going for a wrong side up ride in the 40. I've started to pull the rig apart to get a better handle on the damage and it looks as if both B pillars a pushed towards the passenger side. I was contemplating trying to repair it, but I'm no body man and coupled with the rust already in the body I'm leaning heavily towards finding a good body to swap on my rig as the mechanicals of this truck are sorted out and it drives great. If anyone has or knows of a good candidate...
No affiliation- 61 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser "For sale is a 1961 FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser. This truck has been converted to 3 on the floor(easier to drive) Truck is very solid. Tub had body repair around the wheel wells a few years back. This truck has never been abused off road! Comes with tires and wheels you see on it, plus some original rims and tires of that era. This was the second year that the fj40 was in production in the US. I have had the vin# confirmed by several enthusiasts to be the correct year. This truck is insured for more than $10,000. If you have any questions... feel free to email or text @ 97eight-673-0three67. I also have the vintage Maine license plates from the same year... Gives it an authentic look on...
Sacramento CA, White 1977 fj40 low original mileage
I have reluctantly decided to sell my 1977 FJ40. I am the second owner, purchased from the original owner in 2019 out of Palm Springs, CA. Between storing the cruiser in his airplane hanger on his ranch in Arizona, and the dealership he purchased from in Indio, this has always been a California/Arizona vehicle. Heavily involved in 4wd clubs and hauling his grand kids around, the history alone sold me on this rig! Since new ownership I have not done much with it, hence the reason for selling. Had big plans but just don’t have the time. I put together a 4” lift consisting of standens spring packs from a HFS lift, I built rear shackles, anti-inversion front shackles,OME bushings, and new bilstein shocks. New 33x10.50x15 Toyo M/T’s, went...

Arcata Ca 1972 fj40
1972 fj 40 body off restoration Early model Lt small block conversion with matching transmission from a caprice classic Fuel injection Aluminum tub Zero rust 35” bfg mud Old man emu lift Power steering Kamar rear bumper Family style roll cage Starts right up and runs great Needs new owner to finish project Needs rear view mirrors and turning indicators Needs some gauges hooked up Selling because I do not have what it takes to finish project. want to replace with a new dodge I purchased it from Mudraks Custom Cruisers in Napa Ca about seven years ago They have more info on it Will entertain all serious offers that come close to what I have into it
Not Affiliated, but have talked to the owner and looked it over. Above my abilities/facilities unfortunately. Decent project for someone with the space and tools, but starts and runs strong with the SBC. Looked like the Toyota transmission and transfer case behind the SBC. Scaling on the frame, some rust in the floor pans (at least under the driver's side), and some bubbles in the paint. But it seems like it could be saved. He's a motivated seller, and doesn't know much about 40s. Says he has a 62, but not much knowledge on the 40s. He kept encouraging me to give him a number... so take that for what it's worth. He's looking to sell to someone in the community who can bring it back to glory.
