Great running, nearly original 78 FJ40. Here’s a terrific, solid FJ40 that runs great and is a blast to drive. I simply don’t drive it enough and with the slowdown at work, I’d like to sell it to cover some upcoming bills. New tires less than 100 miles on them. 19k obo
I have a rear gate panel for when top and doors are off and brand new man-a-fre HEI distributor still in box.
More pics available upon request.
Located in Renton but offer up is saying Kent.

This belongs to a member on here named Peter. We texted back and forth last week and he sent me some pics. Wasn’t quite what I was looking for, but seemed to be exactly as advertised.

It's mine. This is the last thing I really want to do but life's circumstances have changed and I need to sell this to cover some bills and unexpected expenses. I put it up for $19 because I know there will be haggling and I have no expectation of it actually selling for that. For a serious offer by a mud member, the price is negotiable. I really want to just get out what I have into it (right about $16k).

If anyone wants to see it, I'm available most nights after 5:30. It's in the garage so rain or shine it'll be available for viewing.

Thanks everyone

...if its all there...?

Mostly rebuilt with Toyota parts within 6-7k miles over 14 years. It will easily pass CA smog. Even the carb cooling fan works. < 100k miles.

Did you take out the aussie locker? :flipoff2: Not sure why you'd want to replace the dizzy. < 100k mi on the original.

Lots more pics in the threads in my .sig. It is the most-viewed FJ40 for sale ad in mud history.

1st day I had it in 2006:

The Aussie locker is still in there. I should re-do the ad, I've forgotten you made some additions to it. I think I'm one of the few on this board that haven't read that thread cover to cover.

I always felt like it might need different side gear shims to make it less clunky. I never measured. I just reused the ones I had.

If I were looking for one I’d certainly have no problem making a deal on this rig. Having a well known Mud member as a former owner adds value for me. Nice truck
